After examining the panels with Zombie!Faith, assist her with getting control.

Milno walks towards the control panel and stops for a moment, giving Faith and Simus one of those "Do your magic" looks.

Use Zombie Faith to figure out the correct controls - have her stare blindly at the panels for a while to get a dynamic bonus.
After examining the panels with Zombie!Faith, assist her with getting control.
I'm just gonna give you that dynamic bonus right now because of my unexpected vacation.
[Faith Aux:2+1+1]
[Simus aux:4+1]
Yeah we'll call that a 5.

So Simus and Faith, who has Milno's hand up her...well lets not worry about that, manage to figure out exactly what all the control panels do. One controls the bridge's extension, another controls elevation of the rails above the bridge, and the last controls the speed of the conveyor bots in the area around the bridge.

Slow/stop the bots, raise the rails above the bridge level, and extend the bridge.

So Simus and Faith, who has Milno's hand up her...
((...shoulder, guiding her movements in an absolutely nonsexual way.))

Slow/stop the bots, raise the rails above the bridge level, and extend the bridge.

Have Zombie Faith help Simus in creating a safe path so we may move on.

The Bridge extends out and connects to the other side of the path as the over head rails ratchet themselves up and the bots slow to a crawl, creating quite a traffic jam behind them. The team crosses over and continues on their way. For the most part it's a simple walk, Milno in the lead, stopping every now and again to do the "I have no memory of this place" line before Simus shoves him and they continue on. Finally, they come to what appears to be a large pipe with a door set into it. There's a big spray painted label on the pipe reading "LADDER 3".

"This ladder bridges practically every level of the building, from surface to roof." Milno says, laying a hand on the pipe "All we'll need to do is climb up. Though, it's such a major passage I can't imagine it not being booby trapped if there is anyone up there."

I'll take a look before we go. Cameyes, after all.

Check up the ladderway for anything suspicious, all cameye modes.

"Sure." he answers with a shrug.

What is that path in the map marked with "Danger"?

Wait for Simus' evaluation, send message.

You very slowly open the door to the service ladder and look up its length. For the most part it seems fine, but up near the top you can just barely make out a lattice of infrared lasers. Hmm.

"Sure." he answers with a shrug.

>There are lots of those, but I'm gonna assume it was the one near you. That area requires a direct transit over a reactor pit.

((Been studying for tests these last days. Mentally spent. So, dealing with infrared lasers is bad. Maybe trying out the robo-lift?))

Quote from: Milno to Steve
How actually dangerous is that transit?

Looks clean apart from an infrared sensor net up towards the top.

>Mixed. As it is, there's enough radiation coming off that thing to fry Simus' brain in it's case. But there should be a control system near it that allows you to extend barrier walls. Normally crews would wait several hours or days after extending them to pass, since the shaft can retain some residual radiation for a short while. Crossing it directly after closing the barriers should be alright, if you move fast, but, well, you know how it goes. Plans and all.

Quote from: Simus > Steve
Steve, is this access ladder used often by maintenance workers? Because if so, then this IR net that's in it shouldn't be too much of an issue, since our cover is intact. If not, are there any alternative routes, apart from through the reactor?

((I have an idea that we could cut out of the laddershaft under it, cut back in above it, and climb around, but that's not an easy thing to do, especially when there's at least one person who might actually permadie if they fell.))
