[will:3+1+1,4+1+,5,5,3+1]

The team, with the exception of Pancaek, whose disguise is marred by the fact that he becomes a metal plate with a human face embedded in it, blends into the hull of the ship as events play out. For a while nothing happens but then, as the distant organic ships close in, something builds. The team can hear it, feel it, echoing in the  memory like a phantom choir or a bell ringing in the deep. A great rising of force within the ship, within the beings held inside it. The space below, toward the encroaching armada, begins to churl violently. It begins on a low level, but rises until it glows white hot with stored energy; a captured ball of force greater then the electrical output of whole civilized worlds  and gleaming brighter then the sun across every spectrum from radio to x-ray. It grows and then shrinks, being crushed down, compacted and concentrated. And then a tiny hole is opened and the compressed energy lances out like a white hot needle through the dark. The ship sweeps this beam in a precise and jerky manner, twitching it around to strike every target as the ball shrinks and eventually expends itself. It takes what must be hours for the beam to make contact, and somehow, with whatever strange senses the ghostship shares with it's watchers, the team knows the moment that it does. It sees, or more correctly feels, the ships being sheered in half, torn apart on a atomic level. But some still come. Some still travel toward the distant point of light and every life which cowers upon it.

The emotions of the ghost ship are hard to comprehend, like teaching the blind about colors, but the team thinks they can interpret what it feels at this moment. It feels elated.

"I don't believe this is the memory causing problems. We might want to keep this one intact, in fact, so it will want to keep doing its job," Jim whispered to the rest. Aside from that, he continued to watch and wait.

Silently agreeing with Jim, Maurice refrained from replying in any way.

There were probably more events to watch in the same memory, and so Milno keeps watching.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Gorat would agree with Jim if he had a way to do so non-verbally, but armor plates are woefully unequipped for such a task, and he wants to remain silent.

Keep watching.

The ship turns slowly, moving toward the incoming threat as force once again builds within it. The memory ends as it closes in on it's prey, as countless invisible limbs lash out at screaming points of light cutting through the darkness towards it. It just suddenly stops and then, like a skipping record, begins to play again where the team originally entered.

Jim attempts to exit the memory through willpower.

Judging it is about time, Milno exits the memory.

Everyone pops back out of the memory with a rather strangely comical *POP* noise. Huh. The scenery has changed quite a bit since everyone went in. It's not the complete mass of confused meaninglessness, it's more focused. Focused on the memory that the team was just in, albeit from a 100 different angles and in a haze.

"What do you think it means?"

"Maybe it's thinking about that memory right now?"

"Or maybe it noticed us."

"We should probably get going, regardless."

I agree that that one is probably not the problem-causing one.
Do you really think it has found us, or is on our trail? I doubt that. ... Actually, I suppose that when one of the hard memories is played, the whole 'ship watches it with us - temporarily shifting focus to it. That would explain extreme caution advised to us as well as this... change in scenery.
Hmmm. Should we continue watching the hard memories one by one, in full team, or divide into smaller teams and check several of them simultaneously? There is still the question of finding each other in this chaotic mess, however...
