Karalis was the God that died.
Or something like that, anyway.

Not right now. For now, show him around, show him what we do for our followers.
We should probably do this anyway, though. Also, check whether he actually wants to be improved.

Anyways. Should we...break the news to him?
Pretty sure he's well aware by now.

((For questions like these, I'll just answer them without need of an update.))

If you accept, I shall submit myself to be reborn anew, as your first lieutenant. We offer this as a show of faith.
A lieutenant is a powerful creation of a god for the purpose of serving as its harbinger.

Rereading the turn and stuff, it seems like he wants to serve us in exchange for returning to the old ways a bit.
Shall we ask what old ways he wants us to keep faithful to?

I think that he already partially knows that, he is just afraid to admit it. He knows that by serving us, it would be what Karalis would have wanted him to do.

Not right now. For now, show him around, show him what we do for our followers.

Wow.

What could we get for that, another god?

I don't know, but if you put in enough mana I would definitely be forced to find something unimaginably awesome to give you.

You have six million mana?
No, but we do have an abstract. That you said was used for powerful acts of divinity? Used for potentially making new races.
We could potentially turn him into a badass with that thing.

What exactly are the terms of this gift? A god does not simply constrain itself with mortal desires.

It is fairly simple. If you accept it, the Brotherhood will give you its support. As a show of faith, I provide myself as an instrument of your godly power. My brethren will provide you with a store of mana sufficient for creating a proper hand of a god, far more than you would normally have access to in this short timeframe. We shall support your cause as long as you uphold the spirit of Karalis' benevolence. The Brotherhood prefers to operate outside the domain of a deity, to prevent the corruption of their teachings. I may serve as a liaison between your domain and the Brotherhood. We will continue to aid you as we see fit, so long as you uphold the good of our people. It is our sworn duty to uphold the will of Karalis once he inevitably leaves this realm.

You inquire as to whether Enreich would like to see the village as it now stands. He informs you that the Brotherhood has been watching the village, and knows of your work there. You take a few minutes to consider Enreich's proposition. While you do this, you sense that Ericus has become more skilled in the use of his boon.

Darkness Skill: 1
Life Skill: 2
Mana: 48
Mana Income: 45 (3+42)
Worshippers: 40
Abstract: 1

Assets:
Ericus- Major Nature Control Boon Mana Income: 5 Health: 100% Skill: 1 Mana: 25/50
Umbral Cattle: 1 Female, 1 Male
Umbral Stalkers: 8 Statues
Villages:
Kaln: 43/43 people. 3 fields. 2 day grain storage.

Time to decide to accept or reject his offer, and if you accept give me some guidelines on what you want from your new creation. Assuming you accept, and you don't have anything else you'd like to do in the short time you have, next update will feature the transformation, followed by the start of the Battle Update Festival.

Accept. Obviously we want combat-effectiveness, perhaps some kind of spider-centaur? Something mobile, with natural weapons, and at least human levels of tool manipulation. Utility is good too, hence the spider-centaur (webs! Force webs? Shadow webs?), but other things would work too. Something with wings, perhaps, or the ability to swiftly burrow. Should probably be capable of reproducing, but if it's going to be extremely dangerous and effective we might want to leave some kind of off-switch we can use to stop a given specimen reproducing.
