Quicken the harvest of the Crops in the Village, they are starving!
The Bandits should be shrouded in Darkness, and lose their sight
We should go to the woman to see how she fares

The man is more Urgent!
He might get mugged.

The woman can cry for a few more minutes that her baby is sick/dead

The man sounds like he can handle himself, at least for a bit. Save him from bandits, it's more impressive.

Besides, if he's too wimpy to hold off some bandits on his own, and he's travelling alone through an area with bandits, how bright can he be?

Sure, but we're a god of Life, not a god of Only Helping Bright People.

That man is being mugged! I shall save him!

You call upon your powers of Darkness, focusing them upon the bandits on the sides of the road. (4) A shadow falls over the woods, a dark mist of godly power. Unfortunately, your godly powers swing a bit left, and instead the village is wreathed in a magical shadow. -25 mana, and you can hear the cries of woe from the villagers.Meanwhile, the man is fighting the bandits. He seems to be hurling bolts of lightning.

We meant to do that. While, the dark remains, heal a few of the plants around the village, then use a bit of force to boost the fighter if he seems to be flagging. Go help the woman at the end.

If he's an idiot, he's as likely to impede us as not.

Either way, we can save him once the bandits attack...only we can't, because we made things worse by ignoring my suggestion.

Anyways...save the man right now, he needs it. Then fix the village, lifting the darkness once we finish.. Finally, go to the woman, who we shouldn't make wait any longer.

He's already fighting the bandits.

Might I remind you of a phrase?
only we can't, because we made things worse by ignoring my suggestion.
That indicates that my statement would have been more applicable if I had gotten here 25 minutes earlier.

whatever we did would have failed. Thus is the will of the dice.

Well, if we had just gone to the woman, there's nothing the dice would have been rolled for, hence nothing would have gone wrong.

Why fix the village for free??? We must use an old trick -" worship me and I may remove the darkness"

And I'd help bandits, they may be nice worshipers for the god of Darkness
