I am now convinced that Rocs hoard garrote wire.

Through their trunks, obviously. And the big lumps on their heads are a bit of extra room for their lungs and stomach. :P

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

...as opposed to just one limb of the elephant?

For comparison:

As a matter of fact in mythology Rocs are know for their carrying off and eating of elephants.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Still a chokehold with a wing is a very remarkable feat to pull out, no matter the size.

Please.  A choke hold with a wing is much more plausible than the mother horse grabbing her foal by the nose with her left rear hoof and grappling him into submission.

Apply hoof onto nose.
Apply pressure onto nose through application of hoof.
Success.

Rear foot. Nose. Locking into a grapple. I don't believe success would be achievable without the laws of Armok to rule over petty things like physics or common sense.

If you want physics defying wrestling, play older versions. Those were the days when teeth behaved much like violent spaghetti erupting from your face.
