Elves on flying mounts. They can't comprehend fleeing and my military can't comprehend pathing towards something that isn't touching ground.

Sauropods(Masterwork Mod). I had a hammerlord fall to one in two shots. It stepped on his arm, breaking it, before crushing his head like a grape. I later caught it, let it go, caught it again(somehow this reset its "enemy to civ" status) and trained it to be a war beast. It now serves my new hammerlord, the previous one's successor.

You seem to be under the impression that we're playing some game other than dwarf fortress. It doesn't matter how powerful you make a creature, we will find a way to destroy it. God is dead, and Urist killed him.

Friggin Keas!
I hate them so much, job cancellation spam and stealing the fish right out from under my fisherdwarf's nose.

Giant Keas!! Having those suckers around the first fall cost me trading cause one of those buggers managed to kill a merchant's donkey...  >:(

Rhesus macaque were my bane in DF2010 though I haven't seen much of them nowadays... also Undead flying anything in the first year/month depending on whether I'm working anywhere near an evil biome or necro tower.

EDIT: Keas restricted to tropical forests where they belong.  Those evil, EVIL, foul little things.

Edit: The baby murderer became a friend of the fortress, which started a loyalty cascade, and now most of the squad is dead.

Giant Tigers. They always sneak up on me when I'm asleep. I usually win then, but when I try to sneak up on them, I get my face gnawed off.

Giant Bats.

Started a new fort in a savage glacial biome. All was going well, hit 20 pop, I dug down 90 levels to hit the caverns...forgot about flying creatures. 1 Giant Bat just flew up all the stairs, got into the fort entrance and then proceeded to break my Metalworker's legs, then bite him fatally in the head.

It's now proceeding to kill my puppies, the fort's only Farmer/Brewer and everything else made of Dwarf-flesh that it can find.

(masterwork, or at least i think these rabid monsters are) centaurs Freaking Centaurs, they show up in herds mincemeat my entire military regardless of their equipment or skill, then prance around the work areas for several months utterly stopping my fortress, oh and they murder any random worker that gets to close, and that's when I try to ignore the the little rabid over glorified donkeys.
