My favorite class is so good it is broken!

As in... it breaks the game consistently everytime.

So I just play the acid alien...

The "not everyone is good" is intentional so long as it keeps their score separate... What was that? It doesn't? nevermind.

Risk of Rain is a fun but very flawed game. Its major flaw? The developers just didn't care.

I think he referred to Acrid somewhere in that ... whatever it was.

Uhhh... its the one with the dive roll I think. Also has a flash bang... and a super strong single shot.

The Acrid is the one I use now... because the Acrid doesn't glitch and break the game for me.

I actually got pretty good with the Acrid.

Though as is typical with melee characters, except ones with gimmicks, you don't want to stop for melee.

Having the ability to shoot on the move is a powerful one. (The Acid Trail is what makes the Acrid good, without it he would be... ok at best)

Dive roll is commando. Flashbang is enforcer. Strong single shot is sniper or bandit.

I hear tell of people soloing the game as Sniper, but honestly I find it hard to believe. Dealing consistent high damage with him in the heat of battle is really hard, and using the charge shot, which forces to you to stand still, is often too dangerous to pull off.

No wonder I glitch the game.

Its the guy who turns invisible and ruins the game.

My first solo win was with the sniper. The key to remember is that the charge shot pierces. Get some drones for the boss and you're set. There's a few items that help, like the tesla coil, but it's not too hard.

That would be the bandit. Not sure how it ruins the game, though. Didn't find the guy very impressive, m'self... you talking about some kind of actual bug or what?

Personal fav has definitely been the huntress. Straightforward, good mobility, fire on the move. Nice stuff.

I always without fail eventually glitch the game...

Basically I become permanently invisible and invulnerable. Which for some enemies means they won't show up but spawn anyway... making the game unwinnable.

I liked the engineer with a bunch of extra missiles to proc off his missiles. For more missiles. Because more. He's kind of a pain in the ass in the late midgame onward if you didn't get lucky with some healing items, though.

I've done it.

I forget what it is but a certain thing needs to happen for you to beat the game.  I believe its not drawing sunken tomb... if the third level comes up sunken tomb you're dead.

Also Engi OP, his sentries draw aggro like a player but they can never die

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Is there any melee character with a half decent ordinary attack? Perhaps a melee range ordinary attack as you run?

I find the lack of co-op talk troubling. I haven't played the game in a while and you guys made me want to play it again. Anyone want to play it online? I'm Ygdrad on steam.

Edit: oh snap, I lost my save file :( when I formatted my pc recently, I expected most if not all of my games to store their files in the user's folder and back that up, but apparently this game doesn't... Means lots of playing ahead!

I can't imagine multiplayer being a superior choice to single. Most of the time you are dodging attacks that will just barely miss you.
