Can we sorta combine our alterer and mindcrafter skills and make him think he is a kitten (or some other playful/harmless creature)?
You could try. Of course, since you've never done anything like that, and have no idea how Watchers' minds are...but who knows? Worst-case scenario, you learn something about the Watchers.

Or we make him think he is a T-Rex and he goes all Jurassic Park on us.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Mess with the watcher's diplomatic skills, of course.

This, but do so with riddles.

Try diplomacy, but in the AABBA rhyme scheme he's using.

It's a limerick, actually.

I prefer iambic pentameter myself, can we use that?

After much consideration, you decide to talk with the Watcher.

"Um, how to put this...Will--"
i told you my ultimatum
i don't want to do that--i hate 'em
that tells you that you
should go away, foo',
before i say of you, i ate 'em.

[1] "Please talk to me
And don't interrupt
For this could--wait, did I just try to rhyme 'me' and 'interrupt'?"
"I think so."

Time for Plan B, for Brainwash?

NO. A "Watcher" sounds like something we should not mess around with.

...You're the ones who named it. You haven't even mentioned the name to the Watcher.
