You should perform logic tests every now and then to see how your mental abilities deteriorate. Also some scary games could help you stay awake  :)

Sounds like good ideas. I was going to hit the SCP wiki though. Can anyone recommend some logic tests? Will post results of course.
That's a terrible idea! Unless of course you want to be stalked by hallucinations of 173 about a day or two later. I mean, seriously, if you plan on hallucinating from lack of sleep, the last thing you should be doing is seeding your brain with scary shit.

+1

Never watch a scary movie late at night in a quiet secluded area when you're alone if you're vulnerable to nightmares. I think this would come under that same umbrella of advice.

Fear keeps one alert. At age 16, nothing like a heart attack is likely.

Just try not to stay up past 7 days; I might not be able to keep away past that.

What he really needs to do is watch Nightmare on Elm Street while playing Containment Breach.

You want a horror movie that will make you excessively paranoid, I suggest Ju-On.

I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor. For science!

Here's a tip: don't sit in a comfy computer chair. Use a stool, or something without a back.

See, the problem with reading SCPs is not what they say in the reports, it's what they don't. Like the red ice. I spend half an hour huddled under thick blankets just thinking of the horror that could produce?

966 is one of those entries that's spoiled by the author laying it all out and only censoring irrelevant things. The best SCPs almost without exception either censor things directly related to their effects and how they effect them, or omit that information altogether. Note a certain Procedure. The imagination is always more terrifying.

Perhaps one that will suit you Flying Dice. Starts off with little censoring at all, but builds it's way to cesnoring a few things every sentence, almost willfully appearant in it's pointless-ness.

Until the end.

Man, that's pretty good but it has quite a few "expunge anything interesting" moments that really stop it from being great. You think you're going to get a scary hint about something but, nope, you don't get anything. The end part is pretty great though.

Wait, SCPs are meant to be scary ? Am I the only one to find them rather harmless ?

Some of them are scary, or at least the implications behind them are, yes. Others are just plain bizarre.
