I'd just like to say that Gamerboy4life is awesome. Thanks much, dude.  :D

Downloading now. Hopefully I'll have a chance to jump in tonight.

Initial impression: Looks good, runs fairly smoothly for an alpha build. Lots of fun, and lots of teamkilling.

Nice to know you're having fun.

I saw you on a wasteland server briefly, but then my ARMA crashed.
God, ARMA 3 runs like shit on my computer. I need to get my old PC running again, for some reason she ran ARMA 2 like a charm, despite being 7-5~ years old.

But yeah, the teamkilling is annoying. I went on a deathmatch server, and no joke, Opfor was being MASSACRED in their spawnpoint by a couple of other Opfor with LMGs and Sniper rifles. Blufor was nowhere to be seen also. Probably laughing.

I've had my share of crashes as well, which is why I'm trying to stick to DM. The last Wasteland server I played on, I spent more than an hour going around. At the end of that time, I'd killed one dude (a Blufor who had tried to get to our base), and had finally gotten together a rifle, scope, and decent supply of ammo. Then it crashed. D:

That aside, I did find one good DM server, though I don't remember which one. What's frustrating (apart from the TKing) are the ones with poorly set up scenarios that allow for easy spawnkilling or have a bad selection of terrain.

Yknow, mayby we could set up some sort of sandbox B12-only server? Not that I'll have this game anytime soon.

A zombie sandbox would be a nice timewaster, but only if it was private.

I was thinking of a general screw-around sandbox, but I guess that would ben ice too

TBH Wasteland already acts as a sandbox, and there are a shitload of those servers. Even if they're just as trouble by TKing as everything else...

The nice part about zombies is that it can be coop as long as there aren't any jerks in the server.

ArmA 3 Alpha Lite info
« Reply #80 on: March 13, 2013, 06:03:13 pm »

As a reminder, the ARMA 3 Alpha Lite will be available tomorrow, the 14th. It's invite-only, and you will need a key.
http://www.arma3.com/buy
In short, you get everything with the normal alpha, except you cannot save missions in the editor, you cannot play multiplayer, and you cannot use mods. Also you obviously will not get the game once it comes out, and alpha lite will end on June 18th (speculated to be around beta perhaps).

Those who have already purchased will receive three keys they can give out so people can try ARMA 3 Lite, and those who get ARMA 3 Lite will be given one key which they can then give to somebody else (and then they probably get one too etc.). Lite keys will be distributed via Steam gifts.

This is an opportunity for those of you who are worried the game will not run on your machine to try it out for yourself. If you're interested in the game now is the best time to buy (until it starts to have sales years later) as the price will be rising as it gets closer to release, if I understand correctly.

Alright then, who wants some ARMA Lite keys, and who will be getting some?
