Try closing any other programs you've got running, in particular ones that have overlays. I had TS3 open when I first ran and had the first problem. Closed it, reopened, and it never happened again :)

Nompe, still nothing.
Just noticed that I'm getting an error message about my graphics driver crashing.

Are you at minimum specs? The only thing I can think about is a drivers update :\

I know the feeling. For 10m I thought I wouldn't be able to run the game at all, on a new rig and all. Feels miserable :( Hopefully it'll get fixed soon!

I can run ArmA2 fine, and I'm pretty sure they have the same min reqs?
I've tried rolling back my graphics driver and that's not fixed it. And the last time I updated it was pretty recent. Might as well check again but might not be able to play.

Remember that it is an alpha, crashes and bugs are pretty much expected.

Anyone know of a good arma clan to play along with? (dont recommend ShackTac, EVERYONE knows they exist) I have no idea where to look for them.

Anyways, what do you guys think of the alpha? I really like it, but man are the TDMs horrible, every shoots everyone regardless of team, the one insurgency server I found was pretty good though.

Take a look at this thread. It's got some videos of me playing with Folk ARPS. It's a relaxed community (as you can see from some of the videos) but when it's time to do things proper, we do things proper! We've had upwards of 70+ in some sessions, and it's usual for Sunday sessions to number at 50-60.

No big time requirements or whatever. Just drop in and have fun. Start with the forums :)

We'll still be doing A2 since that's what there's most content for, but eventually there should be a switch over to A3 :)

You don't, you just drop in ;) That's the nice part about it. Some communities and squads are all about you having to commit a few nights a week. Here? Just show up at the sessions you want/feel like it :)

It's usually Sundays and Tuesdays at 7.20pm GMT. We go through slotting first, then start the mission. I'd suggest being a grunt and figuring things out. The main FolkARPS webpage also has links to the forums and permanent skype chat, which are a nice way to meet people and get involved with the community :)

All you'll need is TS3 and vanilla A2 (no mods = easier to join), though I suggest a couple of mods like sthud and stmovement.

I think I played with RPS once, it's all fun times. I wish they would use ACE but that would mean people would need to download stuff. oh well. No ACE for ARMA 3 yet so... =p

Dyslecxi does have his SThud working though =p http://dslyecxi.com/shacktac-fireteam-hud-for-arma-3/
It's quite amazing how quickly mods are being made/ported and the alpha's just begun.

Also, for those who haven't seen it, This should go in the OP or something

Here's a list from r/arma of some Arma groups and what they offer/require: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj_IvvssIuaSdGkyMnpndUhwUjl6WUJkUHh1aUlkTWc#gid=0

Seems like this is quickly becoming the general ArmA thread - in which case we could've used the previous one :P Oh well :P

It seems that A3 is basically just an incremental improvement over the A2 engine, which means that most scripts don't need changing to work in the new version :) It's all the same in the background, save for a few features :)
