lost my grandmother to a car accident in october and my father to a work accident in november. i don't have children, but i did have the task to tell my sister and my aunt, his sister...
i wish i had something to say to make you feel better, but i know there isn't such a thing. i also wish i had some advice, but what i did learn from this was that nothing really helps. the worst has happened and all that's left to do is to grieve and cope with grief, because it wont be going away

Thank you, all. I just.. Didn't expect this, at all. My mother was the last person I saw this happening to.

I hate setting up funerals. :/ I'm going to plant her ashes, her favorite tree is Willow..

I'll keep some others. I've already got my father and grandfather. I may not have been a good Jew, but I need to at least remember where I came from.. Would it be gaudy to get an ash holder pendant? I just want them as close to me as I can have. I'm not usually the type to say this, but I need strength however I can find it..

Personally, I think an Ash Holder Pendant is a very respectable piece of kit if you treasure your relatives and their closeness gives you strength. It's up to personal taste though.
