So, I was making my adventurer (Who was an elf test subject, for you would never play as an Elf in seriousness) explore the world and kill anything in his path, when I came across a couple of lairs. There was just a couple of lairs, two or three, when I noticed that each one was holding a single very hostile and stupid Elf each. After coming across another three, I headed east to look for a city, finding two more, when I came across this.



If you want the map, I can share a Zip folder containing the world, with my idiotic adventurer at the top most point, and I will share it soon. I just have to get the files ready to share.

What version are you playing? If I remember correctly, giant lair-walls were bug in one release. Also, could those single elves be werecreatures? Can elves even be werecreatures?

So it's a line of holes going north and their elves? Hmm clearly they caught the case of the Weredwarf. plain and simple.

Lairs with what looks like an ordinary (if naked) person inside are always those of bestial shapechangers when it's not the full moon. For the proper experience, pick that day for a visit. You can get pretty big clusters around human settlements, but i've never seen something like that - i guess you're near the nominal location of an elven retreat.

Pff, if you think elves can't be played for reals in adventure, you're doing it wrong. Check legends for the things elves do in war, and try to emulate that. I rarely had as much fun as when i sneaked deep into a kobold cave and gave each a blow to the head with my wooden sword - if they lived, i left them alone, if they died, another notch on my whackstick. Most died.

Main reason elves are ballin? 1400 speed from start with high agi, At Peace With Wildlife makes demon killing and food gathering much easier, and they can still usually wear human armor.

So you don't start with a waterskin. Slit someone's throat and take it.

(though I'm kind of sad you can't perform elven cannibalism yet, adventure mode doesn't read ethic raws properly for that. I THINK you can still do it if you starve yourself though. But that's dumb.)

Yeah, the elves on that world are pretty far from everyone else, as in, I have to kill things and drink their blood, despite the fact that I can't be a vampire, because I can't find a water source that is clean enough... so, in other words, if (and most likely only if) these lairs could replenish themselves with more victims, then my adventurer could live forever!
