Weekend, so I'll make this post quick. I have a message from Solifuge from
THE GREAT BEYOND. Oh, wait, it's just the campfire outside. They're making S'mores.
Also note that the portion of my role is Medium, not Editor-In-Chief. As such, you are getting these pretty much as they are. I personally disagree with some points, but I include them for completeness sake. There was also a post pertaining to Deathsword, but I felt it was a bit premature and so I have not included it here. Grab a snack, you're gonna be here a minute.
Hey guys, It's Solifuge. I come from beyond the tent, bearing spoilers: your Scumteam for this game is Vector, Urist Imiknorris, and Deathsword. How do I know this? I'm glad you asked! It's a bit wordy, but if you want to win, Town, give me a few minutes of your attention. I'll try to keep things entertaining:
*ehem*
Meet the Scumteam Part 1: Once Upon an Urist
Let's start with Urist, by taking a look at this little gem:
> Quote from Urist Imiknorris (Post #226)
>> Okay. Tiruin, you are Vector's partner.
>>
>> 1) You're voting Leafsnail because of what you assume his ability to be.
>> 2) Your reason for not voting Vector is stupid, barely coherent, and makes you
>> look desperate for a reason to not vote her.
>> [...]
>> 4) Solifuge popped in after several days of not posting, voted Dariush for a
>> meh-at-best reason, accused you of fakeclaiming, and promised to post more
>> later (which he never did). Once Dariush flipped town, Solifuge reeked of
>> scum who just wanted to get D1 over with.
So, let me get this straight. You know how Vector was outed as Scum? A fact Urist doesn't dispute? Despite this, he stopped voting for Vector and switched to Tiruin because... Tiruin stopped voting for Vector, and switched to Leafsnail?
ALERT, RIDICULOUS HYPOCRISY AND BUDDYING DETECTED! CHECK THYSELF BEFORE YE WRECK THYSELF!
Way to tip your hand. You guys -know- Vector is scum, and didn't actually redirect anyone. You forgot that Non-Scum players like Tiruin don't know this for a fact, and could reasonably suspect Leafsnail was lying about being Vector's target (which opens up the possibility for Leaf to be defending Deathsword using a false claim, etc). Hell, even I doubted Leafsnail at the start of the day too. I still don't trust him, but unless my whole world is a lie, and Vector flips Town, he's 3rd Party at worst.
Oh, and Urist's justification, after he claimed to be my attacker? Despite Tiruin being his biggest "suspect" yesterday, he instead decides to off me last night for "bandwagoning", and "meh-at-best" reasoning. But what's this... Urist joined that very same "bandwagon" on Dariush just one vote before I did? Huh. Let's compare our arguments:
> Quote from Solifuge (Post #183):
>> Can I ask you a question, Dariush? What the crap is up with you accusing
>> Vector of being scum in nearly every post, yet insisting on voting for Leafsnail based on a
>> paper thin random vote reading? That's extremely scummy behavior, and poor play for scum
>> or town. Sensible people vote where their suspicions and accusations go, not everywhere else.
>> This Refuge in Audacity thing you've been doing since the start, playing up the offensiveness
>> as much as possible, strikes me as an intentional act.
> Quote from Urist Imiknorris (Post #165):
>> Dariush: Why are you voting Leafsnail again?
ALERT, HYPOCRISY DETECTORS OVERLOADED! ABANDON ALL HOPE YE WHO ENTER HERE!
So Urist says he offed me last night, and claims it was actually a Vig-Kill, despite that it went against any suspicions he'd voiced on Day 1, and was for hypocritical-to-nonexistant reasons. He then asks us to believe that there was no Scum Kill last night either. Weird, it's almost as if the scumteam weren't expecting my role power when they targeted me last night, and they had to come up with an explanation on the spot. Oh, and for anyone who still doubts I was killed by Scum, according to the flavor I was Spiritwalking, when a shadowy figure put my meatspace body in a chokehold, made me black out, and I woke up outside the tent. Sounds like a lore-appropriate Mafiakill to me.

Meet the Scumteam Part 2: The Vector Vexation
Next up is Vector. Poor, unlucky Vector. She got investigated by Hapah last night, who accused her in public today, and with no wiggle room and a team full of slightly-more-disposable scumbuddies, she did what any sensible leader would do in her position. She threw Deathsword under the bus, claiming that he was actually the Scum Hapah saw, since she "redirected" Hapah's investigation to him. And hell, it probably would have worked too, if it wasn't for that meddling Leafsnail and his stupid counterclaim.
Now, I don't know if Leafsnail is a 3rd Party or Town, but for now it doesn't actually matter. Because of his claim, we know that one of them is lying, so there are two possibilities here:
1) Leafsnail is Scum, and Vector is Town/3rd Party.
Analysis: Vector really DID redirect Hapah to Deathsword, and Scum Leafsnail lied to protect him in hopes of getting Vector killed. Problem with this is that it would mean that Leafsnail knowingly doomed himself and his Scumpartner; as soon as Vector flipped Town, we would have her role and allignment, and we'd know he lied. Thus he would be next on the chopping block, followed by Deathsword (who at this point it would be obvious he'd been defending with his falseclaim). Knowing Leafsnail as an experienced player, this makes no sense. And hell, once Vector dies and flips, this won't be a question anymore. This leaves us with...
B) Vector is Scum, and Leafsnail is Town/3rd Party.
Analysis: Vector lied about redirecting Hapah to Deathsword, and instead did something to Leafsnail last night. Leafsnail's role lets him know who targets him, and he saw Vector hit him with something last night, which makes it impossible for her to have redirected Hapah. What Vector should have done at this point is claim that she has a secondary passive action which hits a random player, like a protect or something... but maybe she was too overwhelmed, or maybe she decided things were just looking too grim for her. Whatever the case, she decided to let her scumbuddies toss her under the bus instead. A noble, but tragic, sacrifice.
Tragic, mainly because her partners are now screwing the pooch by forgetting she's been outed as Certifiable Scum, and blatantly buddied with her by pushing a crap case on Tiruin, which we'll get to in a minute. I think Vector pointed this out to them in Scum Chat though, since they've gotten a bit less blatant about it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
