What kind of boats are these, and what kind of state of affairs are we dealing here with?
It says in the Inventory spoiler that we have a pontoon boat and a speed boat.

You can't decide on what direction to go. Lavis wants to go east on the assumption that the town is abandoned, and Rodrigo wants to go south for fishing, however with harpoons, which could likely be obtained from trading with the local trading post to the North.

But one thing you DO decide on is to put a day's worth of food and water into the speedboat for emergencies. You also secure the speedboat behind the pontoon with a few scraps of rope.
In fact, rummaging around for the rope, you managed to find a set of screwdrivers hidden behind the rope. Seems useful.

So, what should we do? I refuse to go South without more preparations, but going North or East is fine by me, although trading doesn't sound like it would be too profitable since we haven't got much to give, unless we really want to give up all the important starting gear.

In the meantime I'll rummage around the boat for more stuff while the others deliberate.

Can the speed boat hold everything plus the stuff we'll buy and any loots we get?

It can hold all of us, I know that.

Yeah, me too.

How much space do you think all the kit we already have would take up? A lot to be sure.

We could always throw our water in the ocean!
[/joke]
We could sell you to some creepy slave traders! Women might be a rare commodity!

I suggest we go to the fishing spot anyways, because clean food sounds somewhat rare in apocalyptic situations
