A Bomberman clone with 1000 players on the same map. That's all you need to know.

Well, technically you also need to know that there is regenerating terrain, shout-outs to everything from slowpokes through Pacman through South Park to Langoliers, some weird football minigame inside the game, a whole crapton of powerups, crates that shoot bombs in all directions when exploded, invisilibity (to everyone INCLUDING YOU), some semblance of squad mechanic, various kinds of terrain and stuff and so on. Okay, not technically need to know, but definitely want to. And, in addition to all of the above, you can become a nyancat moving at ridiculous speeds, automatically pooping rainbow bombs along the way and nyanifying anybody you touch. It's awesome.

Managed to finish third on the Russian server. It's the one with the lowest ping for me, and it's not really a game which is capable of supporting RU? RU? XAXAXAXAXAXA so we're good. That was on my first run, 31 kills to 7 deaths.

and then i ran into the end of beginner's luck

oh man this is the best game dariush you are the wizard for bringing us this

At first I was like. Oh, Cute, Bomberman. Gave it a few minutes and closed it. But it called to me... called... called... and then I went back and it stole a few more precious minutes from me... but I put it aside for later after that. Before long, and without realizing it entirely, I'd given it another half of an hour... Please, someone, help me. I know not where this will stop.

It needs permanent profiles and statistics. I want to be able to click on my murderer and learn aaaaaaaaaall about him, so that when I take my revenge, it will be ever sweeter. >:3

This makes me wonder how many other low-investment games from the early console era could make great flash games.

But then I thought about it some more and probably not many. I was actually thinking something like Bionic Commando or Shinobi or Contra side-scroller but it doesn't scale into dozens or hundreds of simultaneous players (and terrain generation would be more complex).

Oh wow, this ... sure is something!

I tried it, turned into Kenny, then Slowpoke, then Nyancat and the round ended. Not exactly the dos Bomberman I remember!

Was really fun, though, even if most of the players are kinda dickish.
