Head to the PLC
Go to the PLC.
Go to PLC. Keep an eye out for commie mutant traitors. Unusual commie mutant traitors I'm not stuck with, at any rate.

You make it to the PLC without a problem.

Examine color of the PLC.

If PLC is Red or Infrared, enter, take one (1) Red barrel.

Examine colors of: Gun in display case; display case; tarp.

"Hello, joyous fellow servants of the mighty Friend Computer! I am on and leading a mission from The Computer--" show them the printed copy of the Mission Alert and/or Briefing without letting it out of my hand "--and my team requires certain items to complete it. Failure to provide vital equipment for a mission for The Beloved Computer is, of course, treason, but I'd still like to ask...may we take the Red laser barrels?"

(The other stuff is beyond our clearance, IIRC.)

Do the same. But with more flair.

"And we're here. This place does look joyful, would you not agree?
Wait for the others to take the equipment and stuff

If tarp is red or IR, move it aside and take whatever under it if it's of appropriate color.
Also take a red barrel.
Clean friends.

Note color of any unclaimed or unmoved things. Should they be red or infrared, examine them for any good loot. If no loot is to be found, examine them for any other purposes. Record EVERYTHING, in memory if nowhere else.

"I do agree, quite a nice place. Worthy of recording, surely!"

Examine color of the PLC.

If PLC is Red or Infrared, enter, take one (1) Red barrel.

Examine colors of: Gun in display case; display case; tarp.

The room is RED. You pick up a RED barrel. The tarp is INFRARED. The display case is GREEN but the glass is RED. The gun looks RED under the glass.

"Yeah yeah, just take what you need." The guard says. You huff, and start walking away before you stumble over yourself in indignation, your hand nearly brushing over an ORANGE barrel while the guard looks on. You grab a RED barrel.

If PLC is Red or Infrared, enter, take one (1) Red barrel.

Do the same. But with more flair.

You enter the room with a flourish, before falling flat on your face at the feet of a guard. He nudges you with a foot and asks, "Are you all right?" You bite him in the foot, cracking a tooth [CRITICAL FAILURE]. You stand up, a sharp pain in your jaw, and go grab a RED barrel.

"And we're here. This place does look joyful, would you not agree?
Wait for the others to take the equipment and stuff

You twiddle your thumbs, letting everyone pick up the RED barrels, leaving you with very few choices.

If tarp is red or IR, move it aside and take whatever under it if it's of appropriate color.
Also take a red barrel.
Clean friends.

You get the RED barrel nearest you before examining the INFRARED tarp. You take your chances and rip the tarp off before noticing a BLUE edge. It touches you, but no one was looking, not even . An innocuous looking large gun was hiding under the tarp, thankfully it's RED. You reach for the gun, but it suddenly jumps at you, attaching itself to your off arm, the barrel molding to fit the back of your wrist as what was the ammo clip disappears into your arm. You scream like a girl from the excrucuating pain that radiates up and down your arm as the symbiotic parasite of a gun adheres itself to your body.

After you recover, you give everyone a quick blast from your cleans-o-spray.

Flicking the camera on, you manage to catch Graytwe-R-GLD nearly touching the ORANGE barrel. In fact, it almost looks like he does...

You start your loot hunt by grabbing the last RED barrel. You then notice the RED glass on the display case. You contemplate shattering the glass.

PUNCH THE GLASS. But make sure the gun is indeed RED before taking it and make sure to NOT touch anything NOT RED or INFRARED. Because the gun might be, like, Ultraviolet, but the glass obscured it.

"Ooh, look at that! A handgun! Hah!"

Draw pen. Continue to RECORD EVERYTHING. Don't smash any glass.
