((I am currently conflicted about what to do. I don't seem to have any abilities that lend themselves to combat and berserk rage seems like a good way to get myself killed ...))

Talk to the guard: "Might i suggest either shooting at the mutants or giving that laser to me?"
Failing that i give him the intention to shoot the cannibal. ((Are you sure that Telepathy should give me the ability to send Intentions? Just asking.))

((well, one of your character's abilities is super-intelligence, and you should be able to see that your count of mutants that are attacking is off by one. maybe you could make a roll to figure out a way to see mutant #4? or better yet, to make him visible?))

That's straight from the metamorphica.

Yakob decides to back into the toxic fog to attack Mutant 1. (4) His skin starts to fell weird, but there are no noticeable effects...yet. (6 vs. 2) Yakob sits on the first mutant, suffocating him.

Joe looks for grenades to throw. (6) A crateful falls on him. (no pun, no combat)

Fern tries to cause a tree to fall on Mutant #4. What Mutant 4? (he's clouding your mind)

Erin (4) wakes up to see that 1 mutant and one member of the team has died.

Hachnslay asks the guard to give him the laser or shoot something. (5) the guard gives him the laser, then leaves.

Adrik charges into the now-dissapating toxic fog and retrieves Skylar's body for a proper burial.

Mutant #4 (2) picks up a rifle, and goes to several other guards, he appears to have had a complete personality makeover, and now looks like a military guard instead of the environmentalist hippie that he looked like originally.

The British knight orders mutant 3 taken in for questioning, then congratulates you on ably defeating the mutants with only one casualty. He then offers you a choice. "Alright chaps, We have found the secret base the phygs are located, you could sneak in there, or you could head to America to restore order between the various factions there. Your third choice lads is to head to the SPCP HQ and end their meddling with our military base once and for all. What say you?"

I think those are the powers of the mutants.

Ah.
"I vote SCP base. Cop stuff is there to get - among them the legendary robot in Axe Cop's face."

"Environmentalists? Fuck that; let's go fix up faction relations."

"I dont like this whole charge bare-handed at people with weapons and no information about what we're getting into dealie. how about we get some actual equipment before going anywhere at all? I dont know about you guys, but i'd like to get myself:
a pair of knives with leg sheaths, that have no risk of falling out if i move upside down or at high speeds or whatever. (button-down top perhaps?)
a laser of my own, with a modified shoulder strap that wont impede my wings movement, but makes sure i can take my hands off of it if i have too and not lose the darn thing.
a good first aid kit, on a belt, also carefully locked in place to avoid impedeing motion, so that if one of us gets hurt doing... whatever. we can actually do something about it.
a better set of pants, somehow the paint on the metal bits keeps peeling whenever i get near you guys, and i dont want to shine in the dark. i have a dark natural coloration anyway, i want to be able to use it to be harder to spot.
also, i think many of us could use a basic set of body armor mister drinking tea in full plate mail. how about we at least try to keep the casualties down?

once we're geared up, THEN i'd like to raid the SPCP base. we need to have a secure area to fall back too, and if they keep attacking this place that isn't going to happen."

vote SPCP base, demand equipment and intel first

((dont worry, Erin is hurt, annoyed, and feeling put upon. Lenglon is fine))

EDIT: bolding important to GM part for clarity.

EDIT2: summarizing the result of Erin losing her temper here to save GM effort:
after arguing with Fern and Yakob (and insulting Lord PlateMail), Erin storms off, steals one of the officer's bunks, and attempts to get some rest

EDIT3: thinking overnight has caused a reconsider of the vote, no vote for now.

Erin glares at Lord PlateMail before continuing her tirade.
"These fools threw us into battle with no intel, equipment, or care for human life once already. i see no reason to give them a chance to do it again. yeah, what we need depends on the situation, but i wouldn't count on them actually providing it unless we make a point about it here and now. you saw how they reacted to Skylar's death. 'oh, look, one of the cannon fodder died. oh well, lets just go grab another one.' if they actually cared about us they'd have deployed us properly, given us at least the most basic equipment, and given us intel on at least what powers those mutants had been observed using while they were 'testing the defenses.' so no, i dont plan on trusting these guys to give us support beyond what a 5-year-old could do. and no, i dont care that they're listening. this setup was stupid, and i fully intend to call them on it."
