"well, yeah, but... but still, barehanded? really? this is a military base right? how hard can it be to let us go to the armory first? and where did YOU" Erin points at Joe. "get those grenades from anyway? sheesh, you've got a whole crate, can't you share? what's wrong with you people anyway?!?
"Bah! Let's just go kill someone; this cop suit is giving me compulsions again."
Erin points at Yakob "What??? Skylar's dead, and you're... your... why are your pants covered in blood and... oh god is that... EW!!!"

"It's not like they had a lot of choice; it would be quite reasonable to prepare for the eventuality that one mutant was capable of ripping this base apart like a pinata if they didn't throw all they had at it."

Erin shudders before turning back to Fern "Well (ewwwwww), if they really thought things were that bad, then why was the guy with the best equipment just standing around sipping tea the whole fight? if it really was that bad he'd have done SOMETHING wouldn't he?"

"Why are you people mad? We get to let out the repressed anger that society gave us by killing people with mutant powers while spouting really bad puns. What more could you ask for?"

Erin turns to Yakob, shuddering with a mixture of horror and rage.
"maybe SOME people dont like killing all that much. maybe SOME people dont want to die for no good reason. maybe SOME people think life's more interesting when you're NOT DEAD!!!"

"I beg to differ."
((i am not going to read a 200+ page thread tonight, but i'll bookmark it and go over it when i have the time. I read the OP so i have a basic idea of what it is.))
"uh... WHATEVER! there is NO helping you people! forget this, i'm going to go get some rest!"
Erin storms off and wanders blindly around the base until she finds an officer's bunk, kicks their stuff away from it, and proceeds to take it and attempt (unsuccessfully) to get some rest. if anyone dares attempt to interfere with her, she snarls at them.

"Which one is the least risky? Is retirement an option? I'm a doctor not a soldier and judging by how Skylar died, I'd say that you don't need doctors."

"An interesting piece of equipment, but by increasing the coherence of the beam i should be able to create a super positioning effect and increase the temperature while thinning the beam by applied poissonian distributon making the beam far more damaging while traveling through non gaseous matter."
Tinker with the laser settings, then find the hidden enemy through analyzing the thoughts surrounding me with telepathy. Then shoot him.
