"Stretch isn't playing fair," Steinbeck mutters to himself, before trying to climb the tree again. Regardless of outcome, shoot Stretch.

Locate a dead branch which will easily fall and a stable place to dislodge it from.

Wait for the Beast or another enemy to walk under it and drop the branch onto them, without falling. In the meantime, grab some more big leaves.


Avoid getting hit with an arrow.

"Oh, tha' 'as a roight good 'it thar. I'm seein' stars. Shiny." Hoyt snaps out of his delusion as he races for his sledge. "A man is nothtin' without 'is 'amma! 'Ow else can he build? Or destroy?" If he still has time, he charges at the beast again, with rage in his eyes. "I'LL GIVE YOU A ROIGHT SMASHIN'! 'OU ARE HUGE! THA' MEANS YOU 'AVE HUGE GUTS! RIP 'N TEAR, RIP 'N TEAR YOUR HUGE GUTS!"

[Channeling a bit of Doom Guy can never go wrong.]

Game II- Round 7: Tango Down, Send in the Clowns

Stretch lays stretched out as a result of being attacked. It retreats into the woods to reform it's shape. Slowly, it builds up again into a singular mass, and eventually a humanoid shape. Finally, it regrows it limbs and face, stretching it's arms forward to reclaim it's knives. "PUTTY TIME."

"Well, I didn't expect that. Oh well, charge!" Beautiful Man continues his fervent bashing of La Bestia Temida, as he runs against the reeling monster with a shield attack. (5-1 vs. 1+1) BM rushes and smashes the creature's jaw in with his shield, sending it rolling back and roaring with pain. (-4 HP) "Come on now, is that all what you've got?"

Fancy McMonocle jumps in front of Beautiful Man to continue the assault, once again pulling out his blade. "I've slain more ferocious beasts in my naps, en guarde!" (2+1 vs. 4+1) Fancy swings his blade, but La Bestia Temida regains it's position by grabbing the mustache golem's arm, and lifting him above the air. "Oh dear." (3+1 vs. 2+1) It growls and tosses Fancy away, slamming him into the trunk of a solid tree. (-3 HP)

Ed Mundy Jr. remains undeterred, putting another arrow against his bow string. "Oh, you think that's all it takes girlie'?" He mutters under his breath. "We'll see how long you can last..." Closing one of his eyes and aiming at Chell Lionmane's head, he lets another sharp arrow whizzing through the air. (1+2 vs. 5) The arrow manages to startle Chell, but it's only victim is another tree next to her. "Bollocks! You kiddin' me?"

John Steinbeck feels indignation as he grips the tree in front of him again, "Stretch isn't playing fair." He steadily pulls himself up, (2) but slides down again. "Shit." Resigning from the climbing, he turns around and sets up a sniping position with his bow. Laying prone on the ground, he moves the sight until it reaches his stretchy target. "There we go. Dispatching hostile." He pulls the trigger. (6+1+1 vs. 1) Just as Stretch turns around, the arrow hits it's center of mass at a blinding speed. It's putty body doesn't stand a chance as the friction makes it combust. (-12 HP) Stretch spends the last few seconds of it's existence aware of it's flammable quality, before it explodes in a splatter of dust and by-product. John Steinbeck instinctively reports, "Yeah, he's down."
John Steinbeck has slain Stretch!
He gains 10 Points!


Chell Lionmane finds herself not dead, and in response looks for a thick, dislodgable branch next to her. She finds one to her side, thick, but it's connection with the tree has worn thin. Perfect. In the meantime, she grabs more green leaves above her, and waits for a target. Coincidentally, she sees La Bestia Temida rampaging towards her direction, though it isn't charging directly at her. Waiting for the right moment to strike, Chell puts her foot against the weak branch... (4 vs. 3) With a good kick, the branch dislocates and falls on top of the beast, smashing into it's back. (-3 HP) It stumbles past, having taken some damage, but quickly recovers and restarts it's charge.

And it's target, Hoyt Foreman, stood firmly in place. "Roight', got im' rigt' were' I need em'." Hoyt takes a batter's stance and holds the sledge behind him like he was channeling the energy of Babe Ruth. "Come ere'! I'LL GIVE YOU A ROIGHT SMASHIN'! 'OU ARE HUGE! THA' MEANS YOU 'AVE HUGE GUTS! RIP 'N TEAR, RIP 'N TEAR YOUR HUGE GUTS!" The beast seems equally enraged as it comes forward, charging with a bloodthirsty passion. (6 vs. 5+1) La Bestia Temida trips over a root, causing Hoyt to swing a second too early. The two figures collide at an awkward angle, so while he is thrown back, Hoyt fortunately doesn't receive most of the beast's momentum. Both of them go spinning off into shrubs apart from one another.


As Hoyt lay in a shrub, dazed, the Beast recovers and prowls the grounds, looking for an acceptable and easy target. Soon enough it finds Beautiful Man again, who doesn't look to be hiding himself. "DOES THOU' WANT TO FUCK WITH THIS? HAH? WHY HAST' THOU' COME HEREST', BITCH?" " La Bestia Temida gives an appropriate response. (6+1 vs. 4+1) As Beautiful Man readies his shield for deflection, the beast charges and leaps right over him! "What the-," as he turns around, BM discovers the predator standing a few yards away. He sees it bend over for something, and then it launches the projectile. The gentleman sees a large rock spinning towards him at a speed he can't even evade at. He only thinks one thing: "Clever girl." (-7 HP) The force slams into his midsection like a brick wall, and his ribs cave into him, piercing his internal organs. (Multiple Internal Punctures: -2 HP for 2 Turns) Beautiful Man goes down.


And just when things couldn't get much worse, a small brown mammal enters the arena. "May I introduce Bobo the Monkey, who is again making his entrance at a huge request from the children! Let's see what trouble he gets into this time!" Bobo mimics the fighting move from the combatants, causing erupting laughter from the audience.


Bobo the Monkey:

*Monkey
*Small (12 HP)
*Nuisance (Does not actually attack, but serves to annoy the combatants and disrupt their plans through various means. Ex. Stealing their equipment, jumping on their faces, etc.)
*Agile (+1 to dodging)
*Expert Climber (Can instantly climb trees)
*Worth 10 Points

If the Beast is charging at my tree: Brace myself and try to find another branch to drop on it.

If I encounter Bobo: Keep a firm grip on my shield and knock it our of the trees if it comes within reach.

If neither of the above is true: Brachiate a bit towards the nearest storebox.

Alrighty. New Oneshot sheet for another round. He's been tweaked a bit. Might survive a little longer next time. (assuming he's approved :P)

Hoyt stands on his own two feet, staring down the great beast. "Who's the man an' a 'alf, I'm the man an' a 'alf, a 'zerking packin' man an a 'alf! Oh yea! BRIN' IT OIN! THERE'S NOTHIN' OI CAN'T 'IX WIT MAH 'AMMER!" Another dash, another swing of his might hammer towards the fell beast!
