Sure why not?
When you can, give me my citizenship papers and throw me down on the turn list, but I'll need you to link me to some rules about succession forts (if there are any) so I know what I can and can't do.
Also - preference for named VD? Security Chief. :P
Possibly an Engineer/Miner/Craftsman if you have no security chief.

Easy: during that year, its your settlement, you can do what you want. But you should lead it to prosperty, or the DF-equivalent of it (so, mostly chaos and destruction)

You shall both be citizen'd and I'll add you to the list tomorrow, I'm spending the day with the fianceé and currently on my phone. I'll also play for a couple hours, I been craving me some Dwarf Fortress Citizen Vault action.
Sooo, is it still succession? Because it takes less than a few hours to play through 1 year :).

Yes, still succession. Hopefully I'll finish my year today then pass along the save to you.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long with this, I'm currently chugging along at around 10-18 FPS for some reason. I have no idea why. I tried a test game real quick and my FPS was way higher with much more citizens.  :-\

We found two giant caverns while digging today. The first was not very exciting. It had such pretty fungus and moss, though.

But, we have outselves a catch 22. If we go after it, we're sure to meet some very nasty things down there. However, if we get it, we can use it against those nasties. It would appear as if we need some proper armaments to defend ourselves, then we will go grab as much of it as we can. Scans also showed saltpeter in the walls, which I'm told is used to make gunpowder, which is used to make bullets.

The securitron has taken to shooting at the vultures flying around. Shot one right out of the sky, breaking all kinds of bones. I guess it does know how to hurt things after all.

Well, we all knew he was dead, but finding Tom's dehydrated, emaciated corpse in his room still wasn't very pleasant. Also, CognitiveDissonance was complaining about not being able to store something. Why he couldn't store it, you ask?
It was lodged in our carpenter's workshop.

I order our part-time... "Militia" to join me in killing some vultures. They're bugging me.
     23rd Galena,
I've ordered the various bones and useless rocks we've collected to be turned into little crafts. I'm sure someone will want to trade for them.
     1st Limestone,
I designate some areas for our "farmers" to "farm". Itentlolor assures me we can get plenty of food this way. We could use some more food, I'm tired of radfish.

I sure did. I don't know. The only difference between the two games was one I didn't back up saves and didn't embark in an irradiated zone, also for the second game I copied the man folder but deleted the saves. That's it.

Migrants! 9 of them! Finally!
They are:
   A master worker of wood, and "crossbows" as he calls them.
   Miner/farmer/fisher/animal caretaker, set to fish
   Glassmaker/hunter set to make glass and take care of animals
   Glassmakerset to also cut gems
   Farmer
   Beekeeper, now mason
   Child
   Miner
   Shearer, set to craft

They brought what they call a Claptrap with them, funny little thing. It's currently shaking around a vulture, maiming it. It also came to my attention that other than the child, I'm the only male in this entire vault. Huh.

Damnit! This seems to be happening to me in many of the forts I am interested in :( Can I get a new character when available? I have a few favorite names...
If female, please name her Alloy and let her be some sort of engineer
If male, please name him Disarcade and let him be a ranged warrior (I'm not sure which weapons are available in the mod)
