The Death of a Deity
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:13:33 am »

I killed a deity! It was not easy and took a long time, my legendary swords master had to hit hit dodge rinse repeat getting many "deflected by blah blah blah" results. I inspected the body to find it was wearing all "large" items and the deity weighed an enormous amount.

P.S. I don't know how to put the images here so heres a link http://imgur.com/MHE81mR,RGKLA9p,Mvjxd6D,hqvttoJ#0

edit: http://imgur.com/LJncvJH Reported the death and got congratulated for it by another civilization, anyone have a similar experience?

Well any 'deity' you encounter in the world is actually a demon which escaped from hell during worldgen and convinced a civ that they're actually a god, thereby appointing themselves leader.

Really? I didn't know that, I attempted to accuse them of being a night creature and my fame is very high (I have had the max warband for quite some time). Is there any way to utilize this? Is this what azure wisp meant?

"Azure Wisp" is merely his title which he got from killing a bunch of people.

He lost "wombat goo" instead of blood. I was just trying to figure out why he is a demon?

Usually the civ gets really mad at you as well since the ones you meet usually are gods/leaders of a human civ and they are friendly and havent taken thier place through violence (unlike the ones leading goblins). They convice people that they are gods through arguments I guess, although I never seen it happen.

Just look closer, he's listed as a wombat fiend in your kill list. This happens all the time in worldgen. If you lower the number of civ, then all the human ones are going to be led by demons. They can take over goblin civs too, but they had a harder time there because they can get 'murdered' by other goblins without any fighting taking place and thus without the chance to use their size and skills to their advantage.

So, maybe demons aren't that bad if they can peacefully become deities?

Is this freshwater or saltwater? Because alternatively you could breed a large amount of crocodiles and unleash them into the waters... indirect genocide.
