Hypnotoad ideas:

-An extract that would make the kobolds bleed slower for a duration, a unique advantage during a fight.
-an extract that could be applied to weapons that makes enemies bleed faster.
-a berserk causing extract for enemies.
-an extract that would weaponize severed kobold limbs (I.e. caustic blood)

Edit: an extract that could induce a strange mood, with potential failures such as going insane!

Ooh.
Like.. spring of last year? I began working on a mod. It was going to feature an "evil" civ and a "good" civ. Humans, elves and dwarves on the good civ, with goblins, dark elves and, uh.. I think something else. Using castes for both.
Anyway. I had two kobold creatures. One was an evil, thieving, dim reptilian race that live in deserts primarily. The other doglike, generally good natured but equally dim 'cutebolds'. Though I was having trouble thinking of a less silly name.
That's my suggestion for Reptilian vs Doglike Kobolds.
Oh, the reptilian ones have an extra-rare caste that is jet black with lightly armored scales, has red eyes and can breath fire at the cost of being genderless and unable to reproduce. If that interests you.

I think I have forsaken the genetic diversity for the sake of sign-born kobolds by now.

I will release an "almost-finished" version either today or tomorrow. Manual is done, I am now working on the GUI and integration into Masterwork DF.

The more complicated features, Hexers, Witchers and Hypnotoad are NOT in the game yet. It would simply take to long and I really want people to play what I wrote so far, to see how it turns out ingame.

EDIT: Ok, lets make that tomorrow.

This is the Kobold Camp Manual. Please have a look, and feel free to point out stupid mistakes as you like. Of course you cant test anything, but if you like or dislike a feature, you can comment on it ;)

Mod will most likely follow within 24h.

Edit: Other ideas: Kobolds sifting through sand in search of gold nuggets, or be send out to scavange a gem from somewhere. A cave, cavern, lair... both should have a very, very low outcome, they should be means for kobolds to aquire metal/gems for moods. Otherwise I would do it with religion/praying.

Fantastic, typo in the weapons section 'meele' should be melee.

I like the idea of sending out thieves for gems and things of the sort for moods.

I'm excited to be slaughtered already.

Looks great!  In the workshops Thatchery and Fountain you accidentally still said "dwarves" but no big deal.

Yes, derp you are herping. It indeed does. Just click on the "KOBOLD" button in the GUI, its below next to Dwarf and Orc ;)

I just started playing, and I think its fun. I got 2 brook troll pets, my 4 shalswars run into the cave to get butchered by a bronze statue, the brave bold killed it, Hobo Bewilderedchanel my Witchdoctor says he is ok, and my dirt digger just ignored wet soil and dug into a pond. But my rats are safe, and that counts. :)

Yeah, it's pretty fun. I had 2 archer-hunters (one of them being legendary) and a peasant torn apart by wild drakes, and my other hunter mauled to near-death by a dire lion (He has an infection now)
