What if they engineer animals and machines to donate? Are there any laws that prohibit non-humans from giving?

I don't think that we need to explicitly prohibit corporations giving money to politicians, because we allow everyone else to give money to politicians, and they are legally people. We could simply subject them to the same restrictions imposed on all other people, which would mean the corporation could give money, but incredibly small amounts.

But Corporations are just a group of people. The individuals of the corporation are completely allowed to donate, but by treating Corporations as people the people running the corporation can donate again, more than everyone else can.

If corporations have to be treated as people, can we throw them in gaol if they break the law? Pleeeeease?

The corporations aren't that corrupt; thought the governement often is.

Often due to the disproportionately heavy influence of corporations on the government.

This is when I imagine the hilarity which may happen if certain things are glichy. Such as targeting your own body parts to eat.

The heart of the problem is that corporations are treated as people (or better) under the law, whereas by all rights they should be treated as being lower than people (they should also be lower than animals, plants, possibly also machines for that matter)

What does that mean essentially?

It means that the rights of living things (and in the distant future possibly also of sentient AIs), and especially of members of the general public, should always trump the rights of corporations.
