I tend to find myself in the same situation and it is irritating...I don't get why it has to be that way...nothing like my medium tanks going against heavy tanks that I can't touch.

I like to think that I am just soooo good...I have to face a disadvantage to be considered even...sadly I doubt that is the case

Exactly. After so many matches where my shells just lolnope off the side (or even rear) of a Tiger, I was expecting to be an invulnerable noob-killer.
Then I took a Patton to the knee.

Who knows ? Maybe I played it even earlier than that.

Also it doesn't work on win8. what a surprise. let's see what i can do there.

The game itself has a plethora of bugs and glitches (i uploaded a couple videos showing them off on my youtube) and seriously. if you want to play then play russian (or british) planes or american tanks.
Don't touch germans at all.

No plug for the Americans? Sure, your teammates are window lickers, but their planes are all fast and well armed for their tier.

The Americans are mostly flying bricks, though. The teammates are window lickers because nobody understands how to energy fight with a nation that has a pretty hefty line up of planes that are essentially single-engined heavy fighters. There are still a fair number of 'easy' planes, of course, but a lot of the Navy planes, plus the infamous Thunderbolt, are not planes most people understand how to use. Mostly because the concept of 'patience' and 'planning' are foreign to them.

Americans are BnZ planes with inadequate guns for arcade (you will usually just damage them and even if the damage renders their plane unflyable someone will KS it from you).
Then you have their low climb rate meaning that even if you climb all game there will almost always be someone above you.

In historical mode the guns become actually good (realistic damage model actually treats 50 cals seriously) but the bad climb rate is magnified since you start on the ground and every meter you climb before contact is valuable... and mericans climb slooooowly.

I actually snapped and started using the thunderbolt and mustang as ground attack planes because of that... at least they carry nice loads of rockets and bombs.

Just don't turnfight my Spitfires in them and I won't mock you mercilessly in chat.

That's part of the patience. Climbing with Americans means climbing pretty much perpendicular to where the enemy is coming from. The Americans climb slowly, but they have ridiculously high flight ceilings. Eventually you end up as high as, or higher than, the enemy can ever even go.

Won't waste my time trying to kill anyone in the air unless i can get head on with rockets still under my wings.
Really the only good thing about american planes is the large loads of bombs and rockets they get to throw at ground targets.

Also zooming past a spitfire you missed in a attack run means you lost energy and did... absolutely nothing and have to prepare another attackrun that cna easely be ruined by a sudden turn of your target.

Yeah I like my tier 2 murrican lineup. It has a B25, a Havoc, a Hellcat (and it has full loadup !) and a cobra.

Never really tried the cobra but the other planes I like. Having defensive gunners that are actually pretty deadly is good. I nearly always get free assists in the Havoc/B25 and you sometimes get a free kill or two. Without having to do anything.

And yeah, if you play american you go for ground targets and when you're out of bombs and/or have a plane before you with an energy disadvantage, you try and kill it.

also a question, I've got this following German lineup at BR 5.3 or so...

Me410 B6/R3 (hilarious firepower, need to upgrade it though)
A5 (good ol trusty A5)
G2/trop (mostly good due to climbrate. I find it less easy to get kills in it, unlike the fw)
A5/U2 (just bought it. Not tested yet, is it good ? should I go for gunpods ? Maaaybe I should get back to the ol'stuka and bait people into turnfights, and get Hercules awards for money)
Me410 A1/U4 (kinda shitty, but last slot is ground attack slot. I occasionally swap it for a dornier)

Also researching the A8. It seems just much better than the A5 at the same br or so. I don't know much about it, is it good ?

Maybe i should get another bf109 in there, on the U4 slot, my planes don't climb that well... but unsure.

anyone got some tips on that ?

Depends if you play realistic or arcade. I'd suggst BF's in realistic because they just climb so well and can turnfight in a pinch with worse aircraft (Mericaaaaa) due to their amazingly light frame and oversized engines and that sole 20 mm cannon along with the MGs is good enough in realistic.

In arcade while the guns become kinds underwhelming (in the earlier models anyway) it can mount gunpods without losing (too much of) its mobility while dramatically increasing its firepower allowing the earlier BFs to be on par with other nations.
