That's implying the BF109 didn't ragequit as well.
Why should he?
He has a massivle height advantage over everyone by the time jigles bailed AND the game was barely beginning (both ticket meters nearly full).
All he needed to do was a U turn and fly straight for about 30 seconds to get back into action.
I'd understand if the game was at its end when jingles bailed but it was barely the beginning.

Because he was in a BF109 in HB at something like 5000 meters in the farthest corner of the map from the battle. It would have taken him most of the game to get back to the fight and descend to where the other planes were without ripping his wings off. It's something you don't really pay attention to if you only play Arcade, but in HB and FRB it can take an incredibly long time to burn altitude if you were up really high, because going over your speed limit too much will rip you apart, so you have to gradually descend at fairly low power.

It's really not that strict on most planes. I had an F2A-3 Buffalo up to 650+ km/h in a dive in HB/RB earlier today without even getting a reduce speed warning. Granted, you don't want to go much past that and I've had planes just fall apart at 700 km/h. You do have to be careful, especially as you pull out of the dive at high speed, but that doesn't mean you can't drop quickly if you need to.

Learn to use your control surfaces as brakes as well. Opposing rudder and roll works for some planes. Other times it might be better to use turns to keep the speed down, but there's always a method that works.

True, but it's going to take someone a lot more than one dive to get down from 5000 meters, and it's going to be less safe for a non-US plane. Granted, not as bad as something with a really dreadful top speed, but still not anywhere approaching the pants-on-head retarded dives you can pull in Arcade.

all these peashooters and I15's in tier 1.

Also, today is rabbit german season apparently. Well, I'm not playing my german heavy fighters or bombers.

Unless using the Jingles Method ? Hmm. Now I feel like trolling people in my S79 at high altitudes with 50kg bombs and 2 second bomb fuse.

Tanks are going to have artillery support. I really hope planes are going to be able to bomb said artillery.
We've known this for a long time. I think since that demo in that one Russian convention. It's akin to, say, the mortar designation tool in Battlefield: you have to mark a location and the shells arrive ~4 seconds later, and IIRC it has a long cooldown. That aside, I do think it would be an interesting mechanic to set it up so that it was actually called in from on-map units.

We already have NPC ground units labelled as "Artillery" in a lot of the maps. Often in those formations with a Pillbox and one or more AAA guns.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tied it to those. I'm thinking the artillery is used as the basis for that ability to call in artillery. The fewer of those that are still alive, the longer the cooldown, or perhaps the less effective the fire.

So... they added in speed limits to arcade... don't try to straight out dive on things anymore without thinking about your speed.

You mean... you can actually break your plane by diving in arcade now?
Wow game broken uninstalling now. Going back to WoWP.

I think its a good change, just trying to offer some warning, it was a bit of a surprise to me when my P-26 no longer had wings.

If anyone actually does switch to WoWP over that, more fools them.

Lol at first i'm thinking "whoa gaijin wtf are you mixing AB and HB together already"

But then again i'm usually diving too fast and too recklessly on planes when I make my first BnZ pass from 3000m high, so it may not be bad.

Personally I think that Arcade could stand to be a bit more sim-y. Mostly in terms of flight models and damage models. Not as much as HB or FRB, but enough that people won't get away with stupid things like eating a few hundred MG rounds or flying straight up for a kilometer with no energy.

My first few games with the russian biplanes since the patch... did they get even more stupidly nimble? It might have been the terrible ping I was getting but it seriously seemed like I was able to do a half loop within the length of the plane. On the up side, it might have been ping again, but it seemed like their guns were slightly less effective. At least when I was using them. Still hurt like heck to be hit with though.
