The 1 version of the Buffalo can actually still out-turn them, but it can't out-climb. The 3, with an actually decent armament of quad-50s, can do neither.

How's the A-20, by the way? Good plane?

A20 is awesome, can out run basically anything in its tier, its bomb load its kind of bad but having 6x.50 lets you keep killing even when out of bombs. Its roll rate is shit tough so forget about killing something other than bombers or really bad players.

My question then is, what do I do about the 2-tier-higher enemies tearing my useless fighter support to shreds and with the horsepower to run me down?

The first kill by the bf110 was not a kill and the enemy pilot was doing nothing but pulling back on the stick, the bf110 just stayed inside the circle. For the second kill he did a flat scissors and the enemy didnt reacted at all. I dont know what to say but its more a case of a guy that knows what he is doing vs two guys that probably tought they could play FRB just becouse they have a xbox360 controler :P.

EDIT: regarding the 2 tiers higher, i dont think anything 2 tiers higher can catch up to you easily, if they do chances are they are going to do so closing up slowly in wich case they are easy targets to the turret. Also most planes around that tier dont have the firepower to down you, just mantain energy and enjoy never dying.

It's more the fact that you can loop and loop and loop and loop and loop in a Bf110...

Yeah kind of broken, but the game its still in beta, we have plenty of planes with placeholder flight models in historical so i would guess there are even more of those on FRB.

More than the graphics im intrigued about how they will make the game mechanics, i would LOVE if they aimed at a little more realism than WoT, maybe again scrap the HP system and for example let the turret keep firing if the driver is dead.

Something hilarious happened just now. It was a Domination match and our team was behind badly. At this point, each team held an airbase (only two were present on the map) but if we didn't capture enemy's airbase, we'd run out of "ticks" earlier. So in the closing minute, I spawned in H6K4 (Japanese flying boat/heavy bomber Tier 4) and landed with its belly on enemy's airfied (the plane has no landing gear, it's mean to land in water) and captured it while being shot by multiple enemy planes.

We won by a very narrow margin.

Also x5 first battle reward is on!

I'm curious to see if we'll be able to drive AAA and shoot down AI-controlled aircraft in the inverse of current bomber roles. Also, how objectives will work, because I can't see them shooting as low as the WoT high water mark of glorified TDM.

I really cant get used to the 190A and F. I do great in the 109s, having a 2v1 kill ratio and in general kicking ass in historical, but i can barely get a 1:1 ratio on the 190A5. I dont know if its the aircraft itself or the engine mounted 20mm that gives perfect aiming without being in the perfect zeroing range.

My biggest hope for tanks is that is that they use a damage model similar to the old WWIIOL. As in as much realism as possible. It is possible shell goes right on through hitting nothing. Pens generate shrapnel and even bounces causes spall. The only way to destroy a tank is to kill everything inside or explode the thing. Realistic insides of the tank for damage model purposes such as locations of the engine, fuel tank, ammo rack, etc.

Also, I imagine there being historical and arcade, possibly full real like with planes. In arcade, I would guess there are smaller maps and a more WOT like gameplay with repairing tracks and other parts of the tank. In HB, you get larger, more realistic maps and the full damage model where if you get tracked you are either stuck there or possibly be able to send out the crew to repair it (unlikely). In FRB I would guess that you have the full sized maps, but you are stuck with the view from inside the tank and no markers, similar to the current plane FRB. Another thing I have hopes for is also the WWIIOL spotting system, which is to say no spotting system. It is your job to keep a look out for enemies, no magical flashing sign over their head if get near enough to them but instead they are always there and it is up to you to spot them.

Anyways, thoughts on that? How do you all think Army is going to work out?
