So i guess my good luck with the german heavies was a fluke of sorts.

Flew them 2 times today and both times they got torn apart by some aircobra.
And by torn apart i mean TORN apart with one wing and tail going off in seperate directions leaving whatever remains of the plane falling at high speed towards the ground.

It remainded me of the time not so long ago when LAGG-3s sliced and diced my HE-112 into similarly small pieces.

They also seem to do a pretty fine job at catching up with german planes after dive since my 600+ speed didn't impress it.

How many of you play on a semi-regular basis and would like a B12 squadron? I'd be willing to front the gold for it if we have enough.

=B12= Urist McSquadron. Toss your apps at it and I'll get everyone in as they come. Oh, and I enabled voice chat if anyone wants to use it, but I don't have a very good mic.

So i decided to try the russians.

2 games.

First game:
The stock biplanes just DEVASTATE everything... i guess it might have something to do with having DOUBLE the # of machineguns.
I lost 2 planes (no big deal since they're free anyway).

I got enough exp to get fuselege repairs on all 3.


Second game:
Chaika... 11 kills with those miniguns... and we lost because i was too busy clearing the skies.
I still got enough exp to get ammo clips tho.

Basically russian low tiers are pure troll machines.

The Russian planes not only have twice as many MGs, they shoot even faster than other nations' too. In fact, I'm pretty sure that all their guns shoot faster than the equivalent guns of every other nation, though they heat up and jam easier, too (not that that changes their nastiness too much).

Joined the squadron, also noticed the 2x20mm pods on the 109G2 now generate more drag than before? Felt like climbing with an 190.

Edit: Tried out the Russians after everyone else's enthusiasm about them. I can see why. The feeling that runs through you when you hear that out-of-place sound of miniguns on a Biplane is indescribable. And the feeling when those same guns score you the top position in every game? Amazing. Something else I look forward to is the almost universal access to rockets and bombs that these low-tier planes have.

And on that note, the circle that appears when your plane is loaded with bombs. Is that the 'your bombs were land somewhere in here' circle or the 'your bombs will blow up an area this big' circle?

There's a cross inside that opens up and closes down in the middle. I believe the bomb falls within the confines of the cross, and I think it opens and closes according to acceleration mostly. The more (positive or negative) acceleration you have, the more spread the bombs will have as well.
