Yeah, SB tanks seems to be hit and miss for the experience I've had have with it.

And SB is all a game of hide-and-seek, as real tanks should be really. Most of the time you fail to see your enemy and get shot at, but hey.

And none of that overly complex driving like SB planes has. And you get very nice RP.

The only issue is the low amount of people playing it, really.

You see your enemies as a dot on the minimap, though, so if you are careful you should see them. (I just drive around forgetting good tactics for the sake of bloodlust)

I'm still doing pretty well in arcade tanks where I can floor it around and pop other German tanks in the asses, but arcade isn't very satisfying gameplay.  Also I tried out the air battles aspect of it and it was arcade air with all the associated horrors.  I was shooting down a bomber when an allied yak shot up my engine trying to get my target, then vulched the kill as it was obviously going down.

Mother.  Fucker.

And of course arcade gives shit for points.  I got like four kills in an arcade planes match and it gave me like three or four percent for my next plane.  I'm never gonna get my volksjager at this rate, unless I'm a dick and farm AI bombers in RB.

And when I spend my time doing unfun shit to earn my fun my fun is never worth it.

And naturally I have to deal with the problem that a single tiny hit to any part of my wing immediately turns my plane into a useless brick.

Realistic battles are best, at least for planes.

I like Simulator battles for tanks, though just because I'm pretty damn good at hiding and getting the first shot off. Honestly, with a lot of the maps you don't have to worry so much about getting sneak-attacked anyway. Unless you're on Jungle, you're usually able to spot your foes pretty easily unless they flank you, and it's not like RB or AB will save you from that.

I just wish there were more people who played tanks in general, Russian tanks more specifically and Russian tanks in SB.

SB tonks are best, but they never have enough people to have a reasonable wait time.

I've never gotten into an SB tonk game.  Usually AB, occasionally RB.

I only play SB planes though.  Every once in a while I'll fuck around in AB planes with the Chaika but that's hardly fun.  I have like a 4:1 KDR with the chaika in AB.

Just kidding, seal clubbing with the chaika is the only thing that's fun in war thunder.  Everything else is fucking terrible and not even close to fun.

Oh man.  Despite all my bitching I just got the APCBC shells on the Pz 38t and god damn.  Three shots, three kills.

And the plane I was flying that made me mad has been disavowed by the guy who wrote the guide I was following, and confused when it seemed like the things he said didn't apply.  And then he was like "I don't want people to read that guide and be confused when the things I said don't apply.

Researching the 190 A4, seeing as it seems almost identical to the A5 aside from the bomb rack and the non-fucked BR.  A5 fights time travelers.
