I'm kind of sad that they switched the RB implementation to a sky is for heroes variant. It's annoying if you play with a squad (much less forgiving if you get knocked out due to a lucky hit.

Might also result in increasd spawn camping and kill stealing anger.

On the plus side, no more tank match losses because your entire team spawned in aircraft to start.

I really like the death cam too. And after glancing through the armor diagrams for some various tanks in the hangar, I am hellbent on getting that KV-85. That's not a tank, it's a bunker with treads.

Fire being random does not seem to be a problem anymore. Maybe.

I've started getting pretty good with lobbing shells from the SU-152. Nice for taking out those AAA positions from halfway across the map. Need to work on coming up with a "this many marks on the scope = this many map grids distance" guide for different pieces and different ammo loads.

Sounds like this new patch fixed alot of things that pissed me off. Time to play again I suppose.

Don't forget that you'll need to sort it by map, too. The different maps are different sizes, but they have the same number of grids.

Chewing apart biplanes in a hurricane is just so empowering.

Tried race mode, more like crash mode.

Although I am slowly getting better at this. Bf109 F2 isn't the best plane, maybe I should get that Ki61 hei.

Chewing apart biplanes in a hurricane is just so empowering.

Well, biplane clubbing has been a thing since 1.37. Hell I even see tier II planes in tier 1 fights with biplanes, and i more often than not encounter biplanes in my tier 2 japanese lineup.

edit: WOW some respawn points are just before rock and it's guaranteed crashing... this needs to be fixed.

Chewing apart hurricanes in a biplane is more empowering.  The kinds of people who think killing biplanes in a monoplane is fun tend to be the kind of people who get into turnfights with biplanes.

That depends if you count the Peashooter as a monoplane.

Anyway, I've been having more fun in this than I've had in a while. The Japanese planes still seem to stomp the yard until a gnat splatters on their wing and rips it off, but overall the modifications to FMs seems to have had a good effect on all the planes I fly except the F4U series, which now fly a bit more like a paper airplane carrying a brick, and Sensha-do is a lot easier when you don't have to make a blind guess at what part of the tank you're supposed to be shooting.

The peashooter is a shitboat.

I mostly use the Chaika and Marcolin's Falco.  Saying "I fight monoplanes all the time in my biplane" and using a chaika is like saying "I go to war with a pistol" when it's a laser pistol.   Not as impressive.

Still, I've got a pretty big rack of monoplanes on my wall.  I think I've killed all the T1 monoplanes in fair manfights at least once as a biplane, including a catalina.

The CR42 is soo nice. 2x12.7mm's in the nose with full APIT belts, yes please.

Also the premium one just looks coolest.

On a side note, they nerfed the H6K4. No longer does this proud warrior thunder through enemy formations at 700 km/h with burning engines, before stopping on a dime on the runway.

On a side note, custom race mode with bombers at night + storm is silly, and relatively fun. Took us just 20 minutes to make it through the 120 point track.
