Take your pick
« on: February 23, 2013, 05:56:49 pm »

Blinking, your computer has disappeared, and the landscape is decidedly distinct, complete with whatever you had on you whilst first reading this thread. Your head is crushed towards the ground too fast for your eyes to follow. Smoking into the earth, regardless of the elements, words glare, stating as thus:

This is the best form of Triassic available, in the same location as before. If at sea, this is the nearest coastal landmass. You may summon one portable item which can be created in your present. At the end of this week, you will appear in the Jurassic. At these sites you will be notified as to the location of new arrivals. Your survival depends on community consensus.

Your screaming has attracted attention, not to mention the budding fire. You are aware, whether you look up or not, of the worst possible creature present looking at you in interest. Your item is located 5 meters above its head. The item does not follow it as it approaches.

Embers flare as your name is written.

Edit: work with me. I'm not an expert, any research you can find on animal behavior and location is extremely useful, as is a rough idea of the part of Pangaea you're on. Role playing is encouraged.

On land.
Ideally not in a desert.

I'm torn between a solar powered smart phone loaded up with a a few terabytes of relevant information, or a trex capable stun gun, or a bear suit, or a survival kit with a few days worth of rations, personally, but i think I'll take the first. I'm in oxfordshire, so I'll do a little digging as to what we know lived here and what the geology was like.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Alright, roleplaying is allowed, but you trade your skills for your item. Scratch that! Incidentally, your creature is tailored to your area. Snow dweller coming right up!

A http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharovipteryx screeches from it's perch in the sparse trees surrounding you, resounding across the range. A flock materializes, watching you carefully. Thuds shudder in the distance.

A good hide, wonderful.

I begin firing two arrow salvos from my double bow (for reference, a double bow is a longbow with two strings)

Your arrows are dissipated by an energy field. Angistorhinus grins and continues rising, remaining obscured by mud.
