I personally hated the queen bee episode.

And not just because I enjoy the idea of using casual sex in an attempt to fill an emptiness inside.
Firstly- how does Cartoon Network even go about putting forward that kind of message. Secondly, it was so 'Deus Ex Machina' at the end, contrived and crap.
Thirdly. Gross... LSP.

Finn's whole... thing has just been a quagmire of unpleasantness.

You would THINK the tower episode would at LEAST have been the last of it until something happened.

I really respect Pen Ward, he is working for self-fulfillment.

Don't worry about it just yet.
Season 1-5 are still kickass.

It's like Adventure Time but not about Finn and Jake, and the whole thing happens in a different space and time and unrelevant to Adventure Time verse. Same style, same awesomeness - that is what left.

EDIT: Okay I just finished watching Bravest Warriors seasons 1 & 2. What I like about it is that it has way fewer fillers (which Adventure Time almost consists of), mostly plot line.

Catbug is pretty great, but I think Paralyzed Horse stole my heart.

That episode was just one of several that play into the "Finn is super messed up because he's a thirteen year old boy living a life of constant violence and fear with zero normal social relationships." I've been meaning to watch it again since somebody pointed out that the sword PB holds at the end is the Finn sword.

I do think this season isn't as good as the previous ones, notably lacking a standout episode (S5 had a handful spread out through a long season, and S4 was probably the best one thus far.) The bread and butter wacky/funny episodes are there (I rather liked Dentist and Nemesis, and Food Chain and Jake the Brick both gave me my recommend dose of WTF) but the lore/long arc episodes are lacking to me. The season premiere and the Tower were okay but lacking in punch, Something Big wasn't bad and might lead to something interesting, and The Cooler did tease that World War Ooo I've been jonesing for for a while now, but they just aren't in the same league as I Remember You, or the Nightosphere arc, or Burning Low.

They've got some pacing/teasing problems. When you look at seasons 3 and 4, they're very good about not directly addressing backstory elements and leaving subtle clues for the viewer to piece things together. These days it feels like they want to show it off, which leads to episodes which exist only to talk about, say, Betty. There's less surprise and discovery, which is something that makes AT great apart from the humor and the bizarre stuff.

I think the Tower was sort of perfect for what it was trying to get across.

The problem was that the Tower episode almost might as well not happened for all the effect it actually had on the series.

I still think adventure time is good, but that might just be me. Maybe not as good as the previous season up till now, but certainly not bad.

Should check out the comics sometime.

So I just learned why Skyler Page got fired. Sexual harassment.

Suddenly Adventure Time doesn't seem very cool anymore.

Well he did get fired. I'm sure Rebecca Sugar kicked some intra-studio ass there, and thus created her best prubs episode.

I feel like something wonderful has been ruined for me.

Like watching stuff by Woody Allen or Roman Polansky (well, not woody allen, his stuff is awful) or Cosby. Or movies with the guy who played the dad in Beetlejuice.
