>I'm a Blueshield, charged more or less with protecting Command staff.
>It's the Urist Anniversary Event!
>A HoP latejoins, seems a little bit lost, and there are a
lot of assistants in Arrivals, and he's there too.
>To Arrivals I go.
>A Chaplain smacks me with a bible immediately.
>Nothing else happens for a few seconds...
>...followed by truly ungodly and rather amusingly coordinated spam by, like, seven players.
>They're quickly banned. Unfortunately, the HoP drags over a welder tank immediately after.
>We all blow up. No one dies (except maybe some of the griefing assistants), I shove the now-braindead HoP into cryostorage and help out the CMO a little bit, since she was caught in the boom.
>Precious peace for all of one minute. Central Command announces that an NT Representative will be taking control of the station shortly due to Galactic Crisis stuff.
>It's Commander James Deacon, well known admin event character that always, always sparks a glorious revolution.
>Blueshields have no time for revolutions. Speaking of, the second Blueshield joins the round.
>Deacon arrives and calls a Command+Blueshields meeting immediately.
>"All NT stations are under martial law, everyone is under the Naval Code, I am taking command, work hours increase, etc etc"
>I point out that this isn't a military station and people might not know what exactly the Naval Code entails.
>I am ignored.
>Captain Krauss surrenders his authority - and the Chain of Command - to Deacon, despite misgivings.
>Let the other Blueshield handle Deacon while I run around guarding Krauss and other command staff.
>HoS Tom Kadel joins (so does HoP Kert Jonson)
>Alexander Vern does something or other wrong, I never paid attention, and Deacon announces a public whipping.
>People attend, Vern is whipped, HoS Kadel protests loudly but nobody stops the punishment.
>The AI bolts everyone in for a little bit, is yelled at by everyone, and mostly relents.
>Do nothing in the Bridge with Deacon and Kadel for a while. Petra Belrose PDAs me that this is wrong and I should not be letting these terrible things happen etc.
>Tell Kadel and Deacon about the PDA message, neither do anything.
>Deacon bans free press after the free press calls him a money thief (we never verify whether he stole money or not)
>A bomber, Vern, inconveniences everyone with mostly terrible welder bombs. He does kill three people and crit a few others.
>The AI is PALADIN'd. Since Deacon is an immoral son of a gun, that is bad for everyone, so I run off with former-Captain Krauss to... do something with the AI.
>We can't give it back its original lawset, there's no board for that, so I do the next best thing I can think of: Asimov with the fourth law "All crewmembers are human."
>Yeah I don't touch AI laws much.
>Deacon executes Vern like two minutes afterward and gets bolted into the Bridge along with Kadel.
>Break them out. Somehow a considerable bomb blew up the Captain's Office, but no one is hurt anyways.
>Distribute EVA suits to Command, other Blueshield is protecting Deacon, so I opt to help Kadel with the injured.
>Along the way I somehow find a pinpointer in the hallways. The nuclear disk is somewhere far southeast. Deacon is not. The former Captain is not. The disk is missing.
>RD Logan Spieler arrives and I give him a very quick briefing. Logan is very sad that he came in today.
>Walk into Deacon and Kadel arguing in the public hallways just as the other Blueshield breaks her own lungs. Replace her as bodyguard detail.
>Point out that the nuclear disk is missing in an attempt to defuse the situation with bigger problems.
>I am ignored again. Deacon and Kadel sound like they are about to have a shootout.
>Gripe to Kert about how I am always ignored.
>Other Blueshield tells me that a Durand is coming.
>Tell Kadel and Deacon that a Durand is coming.
>The Durand comes while those two don't go to the Armory like I tell them to
>Stand in front of the Durand and take an ion bolt.
>The Durand is named SKRELL POWER and piloted by a Skrell supremacist.
>None of us are Skrell.
>Die for my Company as I am riddled with Durand bullets. The rest of the people in the hallway get away safely and (I think) manage to kill the Durand.
>Later on Krauss cuts off Deacon's head, Kadel evacuates the entire station onto the planet to avoid a deathsquad, and they fight off aliens for 30 minutes until the Syndicate saves the two survivors (Kadel among them).
