Ive never had a decent experience when i let myself be taken hostage. The times i can remember just end with either me being killed or locked somewhere with no chance of help.

Some of my best times on SS13 in general were as a hostage. It really, really depends on the captor. As the captor if I see the hostage make an attempt to RP I'll ALWAYS RP back to you. I will also try and make your time while hostage enjoyable via playing cards with you or giving you some botany stuff to play with.

I had some very good fun being kidnapped and interrogated by some nuke ops a while ago. I always advocate kidnapping/hostage situations, from the POV of a nonantag, but uh, the station really likes to get involved in that even when they shouldn't and the antag often ends up muderhobo'd along with the poor hostage. And of course my usual job often requires that I get very involved in them, if Command gets kidnapped.

They're fun but really challenging, basically. I try to humor the attempts within the purview of Blueshielding.

I may this week when I'm a lil less busy and sick. Reading over tg's guides as far as controls and stuff makes me feel a little less incompetent.

If you enable hotkeys (Tab or button in lower right corner), it's pretty simple, WSAD, E for Equip, Q for drop because on the opposite side, T to talk, F2 to talk OOC. The rest is 90% LMB, 10% RMB click. There's a couple others but that's the gist of it.

I've always done it iwth one hand on humpad, one hand holding the kyboard steady and typing. The mouse is there if I need it, but I dont use WASD for this game. Most importand things are on the numpad. Arrows to move, pgup pgdn, home, end, enter, 9 (intent changing button)
