Apparently BYOND doesn't have a Mac implementation, so I guess I won't actually be able to play unless there is some weird way around it.

Allows you to dual-boot, I think (i.e. have both Windows and OSX on the same machine).  Alternatively, I think WINE works on Mac (which is, in effect if not in actuality, a Windows emulator).

Looking to get into the game, any resources people have to suggest I look at before trying to play?

expect to die a lot. expect griefers, unhelpful players, a steep learning curve, and repeated death by accident, whether through flinging yourself out an airlock, or having the air slam you into everything in your path, or kicking yourself in the groin hard enough to break bone. Expect the cook and the [random character] to make hamburgers out of your flesh. Expect security to be shitlers, if there is any. expect low pop round after low pop round. expect special events that fail miserably in what they intended. Don't play engineering. have fun.

There is no solution to running it natively in OSX. You will need Windows or Linux, either booted off a partition on your HD or  through a VM. Some people have said that WINE works, but it might be hit and miss. Still worth a shot though.

Macs just aren't meant for gaming.

So im having a pretty big issue with being able to play. I cant hear anything over the radio. Tried everything i can think of including reinstalling. Happened from the beginning of multiple rounds.

It sounds like you have the Chat_Radio flag toggled off somehow, even though you don't have access to the Show/Hide RadioChatter verb.

E: I may have found the culprit!  Reporting on the Github.  It was the "toggle heartbeat" option, re-toggle that next time you join. You'll have to toggle everything else afterwards, though.

Yup that was it. Then I cant wait till I can turn off the heartbeat and hear the radio

are the loyalty implants fixed yet? they still don't spawn in anyone and they can't prevent culting

 I must state that I dont see why a loyalty implant should prevent culting.

 I mean, its not exactly like being totally anti-Nt, is it? It just wants the cult to grow and eventually summon whats-his-name.
