I can see where he's coming from. Back when it started we were a close group of friends. Everybody had fun, there were no issues. We were forced to go on the hub etc, things are different now. Not necessarily worse, but different.

In a way, yes, although not exactly: as more new people join, they have the tendency to be closer to the low RP end of the "medium RP" scale. This in itself isn't a, but it is something a higher-RP player (such as myself) dislikes. I guess that's the issue at the core of all medium RP servers, though. Such servers are just amalgamations of low-ish and high-ish RP players that essentially has to balance on a post flanked by spikes to maintain its label.

That isn't to say all newcomers are low on roleplay, though. High RP players are strangely rare outside of the usual strongholds like Baystation, but they exist. I've met plenty of new players that I liked a lot.
