Been getting into SS:13 lately, although I haven't played on Urist McStation yet[Too few people most of the time]. Figured I'd PTW here.

I'll probably be able to be able to join the event on sunday, so that's something.
Where HAVE you played, though? :V

I need to know so i can judge you on your terrible decisions :P

Mostly Goonstation, as it has the most people most of the time. Usually as a Geneticist/Botanist, because those are fun. Should probably try out Urist McStation before sunday, as it has a different codebase and a wildly different attitude.
I thought that Sybil (tg) has more players than goon on peak hours. 100 players is no exception.
Sure, it results in fifty assistants, but you can't have everything.

Also tg isn't goon with open code, that's vg. Tg is less chaotic as long as you avoid peak-hours Sybil or just go to Basil.
Tg is the grorious bastion of good code and not being completely shit. (Alongside vg and goon)

AFAIK, they always planned to do that.
One of the gooncoders (volundr) has been hanging around in #coderbus recently and anounced it yesterday, but I was too busy playing TF2 to completely follow the conversation. Woke up today to #spacebus having three times the amount of people it usually has.

I think that was pretty clear; also, Goon remake =/= a remake of Goon, but rather a remake by CODERS from Goon. As opposed to BS12 coders, Centration and dozens of other abandoned projects out there, like OpenBYOND.

Urgh. I'd prefer AGPL myself, but the fact that they're releasing it under a copyleft license at all is pretty wonderful.

Big 'Ol Update


Yup. I don't even know where to start.

Stuff other wonderful people did (Thank Scrdest, Nienhaus, Boggart, Octobomb, Knoxon, TGameCo and JacobLee):

-new tator items: sonic grenades and the smuggler's satchel
-new gun for nukeops, plus a remap of their base
-barber scissors rewrite
-snapping emote (with sound *snap)
-some minor Bay stuff
-new gamemode! Traitorpire (Vampire+Tatortot)
-pressure O2 loss got nerfed hard (there is potential for it to get nerfed harder)
-suit breaching got removed on some things
-ERT area was remapped
-bugfixes!

Stuff I did:

-new awaymap: maze
-more clothes for the clothes vends.
-more vanity items to order and stuff, including more lighters
-you can make bandanas out of hazardvests
-nicer interfaces on the login screen
-bandoliers, special belts that hold shotgun shells
-new wizards staff to match the necromancer's outfit
-you can order mech paintkits from cargo (4 types, it's randomized 1 per crate)
-new hairstyles
-couches are greyscale, have armrests
-chair painter! Paint comfy chairs any colour you want (shares sprites with the airlock painter, that'll change. It'll also work on couches in the near future)
-military belts for nuke ops
-a fuck ton of bugfixes and mapfixes
