AI Captain best captain. Being able to back up your requests with authority is lovely.
But when the captain chooses it's successor, can it override the chain of command? Because the HoS was insisting I pass the power to him (even though there was zero danger, the wiki says all heads have equal power then but no one was listening. Spoiler alert: I didn't pick him.)

Dont think so, and I know that the AI is not part of the chain of captaincy.
Something about it being just a really good computer that dosent really understand human speech, and is just a tool.

To cut a long story short and avoid spoilers, I volunteered to take over while the captain went for a nap til the hop came. One never did. I was formally promoted, however. In my view any captain should be able to pick who they want to promote.

In the situation Octobomb describes, the Blueshield was ultimately chosen as captain because none of the heads comprehended the chain of command and kept arguing for a solid ten minutes about it.

Actually, there was that one round on another server... It was a crowbar, not a wrench, but it was surprisingly good at its job.

I know I always go for a wrench when my best weapon's gonna be in my toolbelt.
They're way more damaging than crowbars, more reliable than welders, an easier sprite to click on than screwdrivers (although those are best with incapacitated opponents), and the other tools don't even do damage. cable gets u bant 4 kinkiness

...Wrenches do five damage. Crowbars also do five. Wirecutters do six. Screwdriver does 5 but attacks the eyes. Welder does 15.
Toolbelts aren't very good self-defense.

Screwdrivers do 5 when directed to any bodypart, when you aim for the eyes with the screwdriver they deal 7 brute. However fire extinguishers and if available cats are reliable weapons. Wirecutters also have an added benefit for downed enemies of removing entire limbs and decapitation. Kitchen knives, and scissor knives are also excellent throwing weapons, if your boring you could use floor tiles that are less effective.
Cat best weapon 2014, likely my humor will be seen right through

Cats as weapons?
