Recently, BS12 put in a new Mentor system, and I merged it. It is pretty interesting, and it's something the admins have decided that Urist could use. Mentors are this:

• Mentors are designed with the idea that they help in pushing new people to be better at roleplay.
  
• Adds a rights level of R_MENTOR which gets msay, private message, aghost, notes, and a new proc    for checking for new players

So, here is how the mentor system is going to work:


    To become a mentor, a player needs to have one sponsoring admin. In addition, the player must not have been banned or jobbaned over the last 2 months, or have an active ban, and must have been playing on the server for at least a month. Once a suitable candidate is proposed, the head admin or a party of two admins maintain the right to veto the appointment, or to strip the mentor of their powers.


So, if you can get an admin to sponsor you, you may be able to become a mentor!


In other news, expect a new update this weekend. It's a smaller one this time, but over the next week or two, there will be a much bigger one.

The skrellian slaver event failed miserably.
One of the slavers was collecting the slaves on the /arrivals/ shuttle and was OOC confused when it did not depart.
They were also using lethal force to apprehend slaves and failing to notice the dead aspect of the ones they brought onboard.
I really wished that I didn't die. I could have had some great roleplay with the slavers.

I left it up to the three skrell to decide what they'd be. They went slaver. I was quite pleased when I didn't see them instantly using that mindflayer.

Note to self NEVER GIVE THEM MINDFLAYERS EVER AGAIN.
