byond does not fucking work anymore

additional information:

• installed byond
• ran byond
• "loading game information", nothing happens
• taskkilled byond for good measure
• ran it directly via a byond:\\ link
• ad window pops out, it's blank
• "loading game information" would like to intensify but does nothing
• willingness to spacemen fading

also they managed to make the pager uglier than it was before

so before i get the standard treatment i'd like to say i'm not whining about ads as was standard a while ago i'm asking how to get it to work because it's bullshit

Seeing as my BYOND does fucking work anymore, did you try reinstalling/redownloading the installer? I could send you my installer if you need, PM me if you need it.

Well, that was rough. Alejandra came in the kitchen maintenance once, so I thought I was safe. But then she came again, and jumped my ass with her laser, blowing me away. Luckily, medbay managed to stuff me in cryo. I leave to go deposit my book, and go seek protection with the HOS. But then, as we're leaving medbay, Alejandra shows up again and gives me the same treatment. I get stuffed in cryo by someone I believe was Hector, but then someone else pulls me out, and forces me to swallow something. A few seconds later, I blow up. Lesson learned: do not screw with Sealis. She does not fuck around.

How have the departments changed since the code switch over? Better, I would assume?

Medical is no longer a chill department since Bay medical is hardcore, ZAS is insanely lethal. Security have a bit more power with the hostage system, basically now guns are the best weapons. There are some new parts of departments like xeno-archaeology while genetics is changed.

Science is over-powered because nothing comes in lockboxes. Enjoy making stun revolvers.

I dont mind the lack of lock boxes as it makes science do more then make a ton of ripleys also they still have to rely on mining to get access to the really fun stuff.
