Hey all. So if you're on the server right now, you may have heard that we are considering switching to Baycode. We held an admin vote, which passed, and now we are holding a community poll on the server. It will last for 5 days, so that should be enough time for everyone to go out there.

Basically, this server decided to be /tg/ code on the recommendation of somebody in a thread that's been locked for a year. Since then, /tg/ has served us mostly well. However, recently there has been a split in the /tg/ community, as well as /tg/ pushing through things that have divided people's opinions. In addition, we've been loosely discussing making the switch for some time now, and there seems to be some support for it.

In doing so, we wouldn't lose much, as BS12 ports a fair amount of /tg/ features, and we would be gaining a lot of new features (in fact, many of Urist's features are ported from Bay). In addition, I would be porting certain things from /tg/ that there is demand for such as ice cream (people really like it apparently). Also, I'd be taking features from other BS12 branches such as /vg/, to create our own unique Urist branch of Baycode.

So, head onto the server and vote. If the vote passes, I'll work on porting the map, then we can run Baycode for a certain amount of time and hold another vote on whether to continue running Baycode or not.

The explosive decompression is probably still in baycode and although it sounds neat it gets really old really fast.
