If the SMES cell in the AI chamber is destroyed, will that kill the AI quickly, if at all? What consequences are there of destroying it?

And if I cut the wire running from the AI satellite to the main station, will that work quickly enough for it to be useful?

The SMES cell will cut the power from the APC, which will slowly drain and eventually kill the AI when the equipment shuts off. It'll take a while, though, so don't count on it.

The wire from the satellite to the station only powers all the outer rooms. The chamber itself is separate from the grid and is powered solely by that SMES cell.
