Hey, you remember in I, Robot (the Will Smith movie) that the robot who rescued Smith's character saved him instead of the little girl because he had a higher chance of rescuing Smith than the girl?

I don't mind an AI who interprets the laws somewhat differently, IF they are attempting ot actually, logically, and consistently apply the laws. It's the asses who use an 'interpretation' in order to do whatever that bug me. The same with antags: "Why did you murder [harmless character]?" "Valid! I'm an antag!" Nope.

AFAIK the only bans on cloning are in cases of lawful execution and suicide. Being murdered by the HoP isn't a lawful execution, ergo he could have been cloned.

Interestingly, I don't subvert AIs much any more. In part because it's more interesting not to, and in part because the last few times I did, the AI did its best to hinder me and reveal what I was doing without breaking the new laws.

It think that for suicides, it isn't 'mustn't', but simply 'can't'.

Heh.  I didn't even wanna play that round, wanted to observe, but I was needed for 15.  I ready, and am killed by the librarian.  I was the janitor.  His objective was the hypospray.  Damn Isaac Clarke...I get cloned, Oswald tried blowing me up but slips and dies.  I proceeded to make a stun prod and waited for the shuttle.  Heh.  At least I was Oswald's objective...but isn't Oswald played by BD?
