Actually, I'd like to ask people to create some broad strokes backstory for their characters, as it stands most conversations are rather shallow since the chars don't have any IC things to tell each other.

I don't think Mark would have a very intresting backstory. I can write a few things about his personality,  but that'd be about it.

I have the general idea of Nontraitor!Faye having worked in a small restaurant that went under, before seeking employment through Nanotrasen.

Traitor!Faye is a Donk or Waffle worker who gets sent by accident rather than whoever was trained in whatever capacity to do the job.

It doesn't have to be fascinating, it has to exist. We're not BS12, so no need to be uber serious and explain all your skills, but little touches like how did you end up with NanoTrasen can help you play the character as something more than a projection of yourself on a 2dspessman.

'What's going on' is a bit problematic, since way too often nothing is, and since you can only talk about what's going on, you cannot break the boredom by chatting with someone.
