Requests List- Service
Botany

• Reagent-containing plants such as Kelotane (or is it Dexalin?) in Aloe, for most lower-level medicines, Tricord, cryptobiolin, impredizine, others
• Wider variety of edible plants to include exotic plants that must be ordered from Cargo in an exotic crate (changing what the Exotic Crate gives) such as Buddha Hand, kiwis, starfruit, dragonfruit, pomegranate, rambutan, durian, or even made up space fruit.
• Include mutations for many of the old and new plants, creative and interesting. Buddha Hand could mutate into Cthulhu (Nar'Sie) Beard, which could then go on to make a Cult-themed drink. Be creative but try to keep the amount of mutations for singular plants low- have no more than two or three possible mutations from a single stage, but chaining (tomato-blue tomato-bluespace tomato) is OK, again, no more than two or three.

• Add more recipies for drinks and food to keep up, and more in general, drinks such as vodka which are often paired with fruit juices can get unique sprites for things such as "Vodka Lime" or "Vodka Pomegranate" for ease-of-ordering and interesting bartending, more cakes and possible salads with the new plants

To all above - The problem is not coding them in, but spriting all of these.

• Add a cigarette system where a special processor, or the chef's processor, can make powders or pastes of plants, which can then be somehow crafted into a cigarette which gives custom messages and effects depending on what's in the cigarette

- if we managed to add this to cigarettes, I'd want to see it implemented for foods, too. Say, if Chef adds 10u of Salt to the dish for no raisin: 'it tastes very salty. You think you need a drink now'.

• Introduce or re-implement bees, widen Hydro to contain a beekeeping room, they don't need to be as complex as what other codebases have but should be able to produce honey and possibly wax for more candles.
• Teas can be made of the leaves and flowers that botany produces, many of the reagent-containing plants and pretty flowers can be made into tea, few have effects except making you feel fancier
• Cacti for the sole purpose of being a cactus, similar to nettles but with brute damage. Whipping someone with nettle is fun, but beating them with a cactus is what Botany is all about.
• Possibly new crops similar to wheat such as hops that are only useful to the bartender with the new fermentor

- interestingly, boozemaking like that is already in the code - namely, unused code.
Kitchen

• Use for the items that cannot be normally used, such as bear meat, appendixes and other internal organs, the kitchen knife able to turn chickens into Chicken Meat opening up a whole new realm of meaty choices

- organs used to be edible, since they were classified as foodstuffs. Now they are set to be organs, which are, for now, inedible, but they cannot be set to foodstuffs because reasons.

• Themed dishes similar to the Syndicate-theme drinks of the Bartender

- there's only the Syndicate Bomb as far as Syndicate-themed drinks go

• Recipes that result in similar items- bear meat and regular meat using the burger recipes both churn out burgers, possibly using the same sprite, one might be called "Bear Burger" or may just be "burger". No one trusts what the chef feeds them, why start now

You didn't use gibber on someone, did you? It creates named meat, say, Axl-Blyant meat, which can be then used in burgers or kebabs just like normal meat.

• Some new dishes such as baked beans (soybeans).

Bar

• Simplified drink expansions, where some combinations get their own sprite but common names such as "alcohol+juice", to make orders simple, most notably Vodka which is commonly mixed with many different fruit juices, single-juice combos with Vodka could all have a sprite

- as far as difficulty goes, it's the exact opposite of what's the problem with adding stuff. Besides, you don't really need to add new drinks, if you add a strongly-colored juice to Vodka, it will be visibly differently tinted

• A fermentor where some fruits can be turned into wine or other alcohols, rice making sake, potatoes in vodka, etc.

- as said above, it's semi-demi-kinda-sorta in the code

• Themed drinks around all the Gamemodes, one is there for tator.
• Multiple table-mounted draft machines, each capable of holding a keg's worth of alcohol, able to be filled however the bartender likes, starts filled with common drinks such as vodka, whiskey, and regular beer. Fills 50u at a time, accessible to all players. The bartender has to unlock it to change out the huge alcohol-container.
• The bartender is capable of brewing many different teas with the help of the Botanist.

Chapel

• A container used for baptism, which can hold many different liquids, just not much at a time. Using it on a player splashes 5u of the container on their head, and gives a special message. When the Priest starts asking for polytrinic acid, deny them.

I like this idea. Very much. Much more interesting than parapen+shove into Incinerator.

• New recipes should reasonably fit in a glass, so that you don't wind up with strange off-mixes. 20u/20u/10u is a good combination. Drinks that must exceed 50u should be able to equally mix into two glasses. The shaker should easily hold at least 100u, though I don't know how much it currently can handle.

- Shaker is 100u right now. But actually, it will always work, due to mixing mechanics. To mix, say, Whiskey Cola, you don't need 20u of Whiskey and 10u of Cola, you need a 2:1 mix of Whiskey to Cola, the minimum to mix it is just 3u. The bigger problem is to set up recipies so that they won't conflict, so you shouldn't have a recipe that calls for 1 part Vodka 1 part Pomegranate Juice and another that requires 1 part Vodka 1 part Pomegranate Juice 1 part Orange Juice, or you'll end up with a weird mix of the two.

I'd like to see other suggestions for other areas, and might create a subthread for this somewhere later if it generates any kind of speed.

I haven't gotten ANY word from Vactor yet. I asked him to let it go public up on the hub at the earliest convienence, either sometime today in the afternoon/night, or yesterday night. We're technically supposed to be public now, but I never asked what time Vactor would be able to get it up. From the sounds of it, he's super fucking busy. Hopefully we can get it up and running later today, but I'm not sure.

Sorry that was me taking it down the server, there were only 2 people on so I just went ahead with what I needed to do for public mode.  Its Updated, reverted to the TG map, and back up now, and should be listed properly on the Hub.

And yes, I am only home and awake for a short amount of time most days.  I'm in the middle of rehearsals for a semi-professional theatre production. (in addition to my fulltime work)
