Nice POWER TRIP you got here. Shame if something happened to it.

I see them arresting him. For the murder at least.

You see them? You mean, NOW? After the shitstorm? That's hardly excellent timing.

PM the complaints to an admin please. Not in the thread, as has been said repeatedly since the start of the thread.

I'll just note that anyone that had an issue with me specifically should feel free to PM me so we can talk about it.

THREAD RULES:
  • No discussion of admin-ing style of other servers.
  • No personal attacks.
  • No ban discussion, except as directly related to Urist McStation.  Please discuss bans of other servers somewhere else; the bruised feelings tend to get the general discussion thread locked.

Kay. The fact remains that we shouldn't do this in thread, as Vactor, KG, Bdthemag, and others have repeatedly asked us not to. I'm going to drop the issue now, but it really works better to PM admins and discuss it rationally.

Welp. This cult round went to shit. Badness on both sides, but I think that heads and security following a guy that attempted to kill 3 guys, killed one, and assaulted a whole load more (and got away scott free) was not near RP. It was what you get when you go to goon, not an RP server. IRL, I can't see the police following a guy that sounds like a raving lunatic AND killed someone.
I can. It's called head/sec being totally corrupt.

People don't get corrupted by money, they get corrupted by power. Money's just a convenient way to bottle up and distribute that power. There are plenty of other ways.

Interestingly enough, the Syndicate Factions was written up by me as plans to expand Traitor mode into something more complex and diverse, complete with new items, objectives, and game mechanics. It was scrapped because I lost interest, though. Never expected for someone to put up the stuff I wrote on the wiki!

I'm still contemplating whether or not I should continue working on the new traitor mode. I did manage to get a few unique items in, like Nanoaugmentations for covert operations (think HUD radars and proximity-alert stuff) and destruction (laser sword arms on command).

I just remembered an interesting/funny thought that came to mind that involves chemistry today.

\m/ 'Metal' Foam Grenades \m/
Make a foam grenade as you normally would, but include blood as a component

Alternatively
Blood gas grenades

Something about those could make cult rounds more interesting

One other interesting thought was making a 'Metal' foam/gas grenade, but with clonexadone included as well as a component. I wonder what would happen? Would be awesome if it were to ever make a synth-meat monster/amoeba; or at least lace the halls with the equivalent of a Zerg creep colony or fleshy layer.

Hell, the general effect could also make Welder rounds a little more unsettling.

scrdest, it falls under the "No personal attacks" bit.  I've seen a few complaints about rounds which are calm and non-specific as to names, which are ok.  Those let admins know there was a problem, and someone we can talk to in order to find out what was going on.  It's even better if the post mentions if there was an admin on at the time, so we can get a first hand perspective.

However, most complaints tend to single somebody out, and much of the time, the complainer doesn't have the full picture.  The round where they got unceremoniously robusted and spaced 5 minutes in may have just been the round they were unfortunate enough to be in the same room as the traitor at round start.  If they complain in the thread about it, it tends to kick up hostility over what actually may have been just the way the game is played.

Ideally, the above useful information can be PMed to the admins, since that sends us an email that we have a PM and need to look at something.  However, as long as a round complaint does not personally attack other players (and that will be construed widely), a post is acceptable.  If you need to vent about another specific player, a PM is definitely better.

A blood/clonexadone smoke grenade is pretty underwhelming. It spawns a single piece of synthmeat where the grenade goes off (though maybe you could get more with larger amounts of blood, I never really tested that) and a cloud of smoke. Blood foam might have some potential though.
