PM the complaints to an admin please. Not in the thread, as has been said repeatedly since the start of the thread.
THREAD RULES:
- No discussion of admin-ing style of other servers.
- No personal attacks.
- No ban discussion, except as directly related to Urist McStation. Please discuss bans of other servers somewhere else; the bruised feelings tend to get the general discussion thread locked.
Kay. The fact remains that we shouldn't do this in thread, as Vactor, KG, Bdthemag, and others have repeatedly asked us not to. I'm going to drop the issue now, but it really works better to PM admins and discuss it rationally.
scrdest, it falls under the "No personal attacks" bit. I've seen a few complaints about rounds which are calm and non-specific as to names, which are ok. Those let admins know there was a problem, and someone we can talk to in order to find out what was going on. It's even better if the post mentions if there was an admin on at the time, so we can get a first hand perspective.
However, most complaints tend to single somebody out, and much of the time, the complainer doesn't have the full picture. The round where they got unceremoniously robusted and spaced 5 minutes in
may have just been the round they were unfortunate enough to be in the same room as the traitor at round start. If they complain in the thread about it, it tends to kick up hostility over what actually may have been just the way the game is played.
Ideally, the above useful information can be PMed to the admins, since that sends us an email that we have a PM and need to look at something. However, as long as a round complaint does not personally attack other players (and that will be construed widely), a post is acceptable. If you need to vent about another specific player, a PM is definitely better.
