RE: Inter-round persistence: I think of it like this: friendships, rivalries, etc. persist between shifts because our character are all working SS13 as their jobs, it's just that every round we play exists in a different alternate universe in which something is fucked up. So general knowledge of carp, jokes about the singulo getting loose, etc. are the norm because in some (infinite) number of universes our characters all clock in day after day, surviving these incidents, and come back for their next shifts none the worse for wear. After a round in which a person is a traitor or the station is utterly destroyed that universe ceases to be part of what the game draws on because it no longer conforms to the standard of "all these fuckwits working together to keep the station functioning".

Meh.

I like to think that Nanotrasen has a collection of DNA from people at the top of their field and just send out the most up-to-date clones they have to populate every station. It'd explain why they see employees as money and not people.

I agree. Usually there are a few people that I have 'persistent relationships' with, to an extent.

The parts where it goes to hell are the dead-end universes, and also happen to contain most of the serious metaknowledge. Yes, essentially. We're all in denial, and I ain't talking about a river in Egypt. Though arguably being in the Nile would be worse than being in denial, because denial doesn't have crocodiles.

The heck are you talking about? What day?

For the record, the only antag option I have enabled is cultist, and we never get any changeling rounds really anyway, so changeling really isn't an option. I change my character names sometimes, but I haven't really done so in that long because I've been on a cyborg/silicon binge. The last non-silicon character I played was Roswell Wolfe as assistant.

Probably changeling, also what Flying_Dice said about relationships.

An interesting thing I noticed is that whenever I play antag and obtain an energy gun I usually end up with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of every energy gun on the station.

I only had two when I hijacked the shuttle. But I also had a box of grenades, and I used them quite prolifically, at any time I thought it might be useful. In addition to an Emag, thermals, and ablative. Also, I went back to the armory, put all the guns in a locker, and pushed it out an airlock.

And somehow, I brute-forced my way into AI upload and forcibly uploaded a One-Human module. o.O

Huh. Then who was playing Alina last night?

Last night? Corai had joined before me, and I also went to bed around 2 AM while Corai, Jacob, and Bknight were still hanging out. I afked as a janiborg in a cyborg charger, but I accidentally fell asleep while browsing the internet, so I was technically still logged onto the server.

You're absolutely positive it wasn't just Corai playing Alina?

EDIT: 2 AM EST, I should probably clarify. I have no idea how timezones might affect the perception of "last night".
