I always ASK people to give me Paladin but they never do, because they all seem to think Paladin is a pile of shite that just like, TOTALLY JUSTIFIES ALL GRIEF EVER or something.
Paladin seem to be the most anti-grief, next to the protect-the-station one.
You'd be surprised, I've seen plenty of people try to justify what defines evil in a multitude of odd ways.
It gets really fucking stupid, to be honest. "Well, that was evil, because evil is a generic definer and I want to grief you so shut up." Blech. To be honest, I would use Paladin as an excuse to preemptively do good. With Asimov, I just kind of sit there and let the crew do stuff. Then every so often say something RP.
I usually get upset about Ian. If I'm QM he's a buddy across the corridor on slow shifts and I try to find time to get him a girlfriend. If I'm engineering I walk by all the time since you can't get from maintenance behind mining to maintenance around arrivals without going past HoP office. Similar as Janitor.
The two times I had to get corgi meat I got Ian and ate his flesh. One time I was stuck on station and the other I got to a pod. The sound of *nom* was broadcast over comms. I'm not sure if you can force feed Lisa.
I would be RD and consider changing laws if one of a couple things didn't happen every time I play:
1) There is no AI
2) The AI gets pissy about people in the upload and broadcasts it over the radio
3) I don't know enough about the AI and how that section of the station even works
I'd be on now and the past few days but my body is not cooperating with my want to not be in pain. I can't RP like this, not even what little I can do normally.
Another thing I greatly dislike is the whole, "Oh round starts so I'm going to bolt all the doors to anything that has an objective in it." Seriously. EVA has SPACE suits in it. We're are playing aboard a SPACE STATION. No AI in the history of anything ever would interpret SEALING THE SPACE SUITS AWAY AS PROTECTING FROM HARM. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, METAGAME LOGIC. There is NOTHING dangerous in EVA.
Telecomms? I can understand that. Vault? AI Upload? Same. EVA? Literally anything but Telecomms, Vault and Upload? You're metagaming and that's not cool. It doesn't say on the wiki 'Oh bolt all these doors for these alerts.'
Really, can we make it a rule or something? It seriously bothers me and it is quite meta/powergamey.
Note to self: Cuffing and buckling someone to a swivel chair makes great tactical cover in a firefight.
Were you fighting anyone but me, it would have worked too.
I defeated Axl Blyant, while he had a tactical shield, a riot shield, riot armor, and BORG SUPPORT, ON MY OWN. J_L is either slipping, or I'm getting meaner. :p I DID steal the Captain's ID about halfway through the fight, and I emagged my way into the Armory and took all the good stuff I could. Note to self: Secure Briefcase all the surplus, then space that shit.
Not that insane Lillian would have thought of that.
I also... Sigh. I also emagged supply, and when I took the Captain's ID, ordered Spec Ops crates, and used the pens on Axl after I captured him in the brig because I threw an incendiary grenade in the door and he ran the wrong way. Cooked him and Benjamin into unconsciousness I guess, but they weren't critical. So I unbuckled Ben and parapenned Axl, then cuffed him and dragged him to Escape.
Where I proceeded to choke him, and shout, "SCREAM FOR ME!" and he begged for his life, whilst I was standing in the airlock. As the borg came to his rescue, I JUST BARELY managed to throw Axl out the airlock into space, then jumped after him, firing my laser at the Borg. Epic victory.
I begged for my life in a brain-damaged, parapenned stupor and still got thrown out an airlock. That cyborg likely didn't help.
I wasn't ACTUALLY going to until the Borg came, then I was like, "Fuck it, Murder-Suicide is good enough."
