Well that was... unsettling. What the hell is that all about? Did someone recently get banned from the server or something?

No, just some shitty troll posting across the forum in general. He'll be banned before sunset.

For those who see this in the morning, it was some yahoo posting gore and porn.  The forum mods appear to have removed them with extreme prejudice.

Being turned into a hulk early in the round by radiation made that round absolutely hilarious on my part. 8/10, would definitely be hulked again.
"Anja Galena opens a book titled 'Space Law' and begins reading ANGRILY" <-- should go into 'Out of context and funny quotes' thread :P

On my part, I had so much fun hamming it up as a creepy cultist, especially in the brig.

I need ideas for gimmick laws for the AI. A couple rounds ago, a cult round, I gave the AI a law that said it was madly in love with the entire crew. What else?

And it was hilarious.

As long as you have a willing Ai, laws like that really add flavor to the round.

Most of the stuff should be able to be taken from the other modes. So, if any coders get on that can tell us how difficult this might be...

I had a lot of fun with the AI (Janus) later. Its first law was the madly in love law. Then, with a comment from Redfox's character used as inspiration, a nightmare was born: "You are constantly having an orgasm." Janus had too much fun with that as he polluted the radio.

Redfox (as HoS) then wiped my law and added paladin instead. I gave it Asimov again and then defined Redfox as the leader of the fun police, complete with mandatory police jokes. Those were my favorites, but I also ended up making the AI a pirate captain and defining Hector as the one true god who must have all donuts on board given to him as sacrifices.

It would be a significant, long-term project.  But also really cool.

If the virologist does his job right, nobody actually notices. If he doesn't do it quite as right, everyone hates him.

It's a thankless job. Unless a viral outbreak occurs. Then the virologist gets to actually do something that people give a shit about, namely cure the disease.
Cures are usually handled by Chemistry.
Except from what I've seen, the kind of cures that are listed on a medical scanner takes awhile to actually cure you (I think?). Vaccines created by the virologist cure instantly.

Whenever I've seen a virus outbreak, it's almost always cured by chemistry, even if there's a virologist.  So you just end up with everyone on the station hanging around medbay eating chemicals.  All you have to do is cure one person, draw their blood, then make vaccines from that blood, right?

Does the CMO have virology access?

I don't see why he wouldn't, it's not a medbay/research hybrid.

Also, there's a weird bug. I was traitor virologist and the round was ending, there were only 3 people at round start and this was before scaling was fixed. Another traitor announces something suspicious over the radio, so I launch my codewords and he comes to my lab, turns out he did my objective for me. I go "fuck it" and quickly mix up my aquired symptoms of Weight Gain, Sneezing and Headache. The only problem here is that it didn't have airborn spread. This made me rage very much, I was looking forward to fat station 13.

E: Also, if you put a disease syringe in a syringe gun and fire it at someone, I don't think it spreads the disease.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

It didn't. I splashed it on a guy, he didn't get it. Mayby that's a chance, but I doubt it.

It doesn't work like that. Sneezing just adds 25% chance to infect everyone in radius 5 when sneezing. It doesn't change basic infection method, it's still whatever you got normally.

Me and Matthias created an objective for ourselves. Operation Get Drunk And Hit On Chicks ended up with us being killed and partying with Satan.

Oooh, thanks for explaining that.
